Tonic, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Gin Blossoms, The Cranberries, and this band was my life soundtrack growing up. I remember when Good premiered on MTV made me a fan of this band. I purchased both Deluxe and Friction, Baby CD’s and wore out both albums. I was 12 years old when Deluxe was released. So many good memories. I wish I could go back to better times.

@@mrjesanchez It's about an acquaintance of the lead singer's dying of AIDS. This was back in the mid-90s, when life expectancy was much lower. "In the Blood" literally refers to the disease, and the questions, "Who'd you love before? Who'd they love before you?" Is about trying to trace who they got it from and who else they might have passed it on to.

How can you be so warm? How can you know what I feel? Well, it's the way you move your hands And it's the way you understand And that's the reason that I'm asking Hey-ee-yay-I And that's the reason that I want to know Hey-ee-yay-I And that's the reason that I'm asking Hey-ee-yay-I And that's the reason that I'm How can you throw away everything you live for? Well it's the way we shake and sway Oh And it's the passion that you play And that's the reason that I'm asking Hey-ee-yay-I And that's the reason that I want to know Hey-ee-yay-I And that's the reason that I'm asking Hey-ee-yay-I And that's the reason that I'm Too many lost Links in a chain passed down through the years But ending here if we just face the pain And the fear Who did you love before? Who did they love before you? But it's the way you move your hands Oh And it's the way you understand And that's the reason that I'm asking Hey-ee-yay-I And that's the reason that I want to know Hey-ee-yay-I And that's the reason that I'm asking Hey-ee-yay-I And that's the reason that I'm La la la la la la la La la la la la la la La la la la la la la La la la la la la la

This song gives me so much frisson. It brings memories of the past and it’s ok. One of the few songs that can both remind me of the past and still motivate me so much frisson. ❤

I was listening to bands like Bush, Live and Seven Mary 3 but this a good band that I started appreciating more later on. Another softer rock band I really enjoyed listening to was Tonic which most people probably don't even know or remember.
