Loved this video, thank you for keeping it short and objective. Keep up the awesome work!

I posted a video suggestion in your older Garmin watch video and I think it got burried: I'd love to see a video on your maps "workflow", etc. for multi-day hikes. For example, for your GDT, did you create a course for each day or section or did you have a single course for the whole hike? What modes did you use? Stuff like that would be great to see. Cheers.

Finally, I have found so many people who talk about the gps life and so forth but I have yet to have some one talk about daily use battery life. I am not always using it for that. Sometimes but not always.

Garmin reliability is poor. I had three Garmin watches and all had glitches and battery issues. I had a Fenix 5 and a couple older models. Garmin is OK because they were the “best” at the time. I currently use Coros and it has been flawless.

Woo hoo been waiting for this! Love my coros! Thing is when comparing the top of the line to the top of the line; the coros does not match the fenix and at only a few hundred dif its easy to pic the fenix however when you go to their 46 apex you get 95% of the features at less than half the price.

wait, what? Fenix has auto rep counting? Not on my Fenix 5! Maybe its time to upgrade!!!!

I have to ticwatch Pro 3 Never have any problems with it, I've voice navigation on it, battery life is only 2 days when I navigate though, I've just returned the pixel watch because it's junk😂 Maybe I'll just stick to the ticwatch lol

Build quality puts the Fenix to shame. Fenix has horrible button action and QC!

Battery, GPS and altitude accuracy are great on the COROS, but I despise the dial button. My wrist hits it constantly. Last time I was at the Grand Canyon it mysteriously drained from 100% to 1% while sleeping the night before. I can’t imagine what could have possible gotten activated by my wrist while sleeping to completely drain the battery??? I was furious. Comes with a nice 3 pound paperweight though 🙄🤣

That button is brutal for accidental activations!

Until Coros adds multiband GPS support, you should get a Garmin is you value any accuracy
@GearPriority2 жыл бұрын
The Vertix 2 has multiband. Based on my testing as well as that of others, multiband isn't producing consistently noticeable improvements.
@rgmALC2 жыл бұрын
@@GearPriority I think the Vertix 2 can only do dual band, but their website says you can do all 5 satellite systems at once, but I don’t know if that’s marketing fluff. Garmins multiband support most definitely helps with gps
@Cinestesic2 жыл бұрын
@@rgmALC its misleading. What it does is that it can conect to one of all 5 gps systems in single band mode, or using dua band GPS+Glonass for example. But it is suposed to also be able to use multiband freq. GNSS. But the results for the various tests i've seen differ a bit...seen good results and also seen worst results comparing to some dualband gps watchs. Coros is a good brand, with all their constant updates and rolling those updates on older models, and they might force bigger brands to pick up the game. Garmin is great...but their prices are just riduculous

No go for Coros

This was a huge bomb for Coros. #1: The watch was way too big for only coming out with one size. That alone cut their buying audience in half. I’ve never seen a single female wearing one or a picture of one wearing one. Then a lot of guys also think it’s to big. Cutting their buying audience down even more. #2: The price. Even now but especially then, the watch was way too expensive. I don’t know anyone that’s bought one. And I’m someone that’s in the fitness/endurance and Multisport scene. I do wonder if Coros has recognized any of this and they go a different direction with the next so called Vertix 3.

I like my coros apex 2 pro. Downsides is dull display and they are made in china.
