My mother dabbled in flea market flipping for years and left over 250 boxes of "stuff" to sort and dispose of or sell (true death-pile!!!). Still working on it and the info on this channel has been incredibly helpful. Thanks Jocelyn and best wishes for 2021.

I think the black thing with red eyes is an ashtray for pipes. They have the round thing in the middle to tamp your pipes and then the basins on the sides would hold your pipe.

04:34 I bought little glasses like that to put on the tables at my wedding reception/dinner (in 2005). Each one had a single rose in it; there was one beside each plate. I bought them at the "dollar" (100 yen) store in Japan, my guess is that they were made in Korea.

I just want to wish you a happy New Year from over the pond. I love watching your videos to see what is valuable or saleable with you and things you pass on which are valuable here. I love that. One thing that surprises me is the Waterford crystal. How little it sells for. I work in antiques and Waterford has always been incredibly valuable and never more than since the factory closed. The biggest market has always been the american market. My company regularly gets emails and phone calls from american collector's. Snatch it up!

"Ruddigore" is a Gilbert & Sullivan Operetta. Why it's on a plate with a date on it is a mystery. Perhaps to commemorate a special performance?

I worked at Macys, and Waterford is getting hard to find and we started to sell less and less of it. If you can find it, buy it because there are so many die hard collectors. I had them coming in weekly asking about Waterford vases etc. and the holidays they would come in daily asking about Waterford. Maybe make it a holiday thing to buy and test the waters there ... no pun intended!
