No arrogance, but LEGO will never lose market share to CaDa, as they are two totally different experiences. They will coexist, both with their own fans and buyers. CaDa is also designing different cars, pretty much the non-premiums, whereas LEGO focuses on the hypercars and supercars. I know, CaDa did some as well, but for example this Mazda is not of interest for LEGO. Different designs, different fans.

I've built most the of the Cada's master series and unlike the comments below, Cada makes good products. All brands have pros and cons, so just do your research and buy what is right for you. If you're new to technic building, I'd start with something other than the 1:8 series and go with something with less piece count. Cada tends to be more complex and challenging to build compared to other brands, but their kits are excellent and customer service is very responsive. I will add this Mazda to the collection as well when I place my next order.

I completely agree - they are definitely more advanced than Lego sets (all the parts being black and grey immediately demands a keen eye), but their products are getting really good. If you are a car fan and a Lego fan then you really should try CaDA, in my opinion

I've read that some of CaDA's earlier master series like the unlicensed Ferrari and Lambo models, the brick quality was not as good, compared to their latest kits, where CaDA is molding its own bricks and quality have increased quite a bit. Do you feel that is the case? I've built some more recent CaDA kits and found their brick quality more than satisfactory.

Great review! I have built the Cafa F1 Alfa Romeo car and it is great. Did this set have stickers? If so, what is the quality? That was the only negative of the F1 (sticker quality)

Wow, wow, wow!!! The engine bay is RIDICULOUSLY detailed! 😱 There’s a turbo? An intercooler? Battery??? Wow! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a detailed model. Absolutely great review, man. The packaging is GREAT. Those red bucket Recaro seats made my jaw drop!! 😮 huge fan of those!! Bummer about the Goodyear tires and complicated bagging letters and numbers 😂 I agree about the whole “RC” thing. I’d prefer more details than them making it an RC. I had an actual LEGO RC as a kid and that thing was fun, but it wasn’t a display thing. Everything on it was meant for getting dirt in it and was even water resistant, so yeah, RC is for getting messy and brand vehicles are for display purposes.

The tires don't bother me that much, but those wheels are just terrible. I mean... really disgusting.... You should dust them with a coat of brown spray paint, so they look rusty. I feel that would really complete the "clapped-out 1995 Chevy Silverado with wheels from the pawn shop" look they were apparently going for.

Do the little tan bevel gears at the motor outputs skip and/or chew each other after 5 minutes of play? Motors and plastic bevel gears rarely play nicely together.

@mssm9495 interesting! As I mentioned, I didn't play with it much (probably 10 minutes max). I didn't notice anything grinding or slipping during that time. I just drove it around my house for a bit to test it out and everything worked fine. For me, it's just a display piece, though.

I think it's cool they did this but damn i wish they had chosen almost any other rx7. I hate this modified rx7, it removed all the beautiful curves in the original design and made it square and boxed. The rx7 is a work of art but this ain't it. Fast and the furious ruins everything lol

Since CaDA holds the Mazda license, I still dream of the day they make a 1:8 787B with its 4 rotor engine. That kit I will buy instantly! Also in my dreams, CaDA secures a few more license and builds a 1:8 collection of not supercars but the "bubble sports cars" from circa 1990 Japan: This FD RX-7, Mk IV Supra, Honda NSX, 3000GT VR-4 (even if it is kind of meh), and one or more of the Nissans, either the 300ZX or the Skyline GTR R33.

I like the bigger 1:8 cars, but a lot of 1:10 cars by CaDA are also highly detailed like that P1 they just made, and given CaDA actually holds the Mazda license, I will for sure buy the crap out of a 787B!!!! BTW your earlier review on the Ruf Yellowbird got me to order my first ever CaDA kit, and indeed it is one of the best brick built kits on the market! So thanks for that! I'm now collecting multiple CaDA kits. CaDA kits go for crazy cheap on certain reseller sites if you don't mind not getting the box, and they are such a pleasure to build and sooooooo much cheaper than Lego.

I don't konw why so many people in the comment say CaDa is better than Lego, since at least Lego design themselves and no matter how bad they are, they put new idea into the design. However, CaDa just buys moc paper and makes it a product, it is just a factory! If you want to praise the design, you should praise the author of moc, NOT CaDa! Also, the price of this master series is much higher in US or EU compared to China. The quality of CaDa bricks is worse than Lego's and that's why it looks cheaper than Lego.

I definitely agree with you partly,but what I want to say is that first, this Mazda's 4-speed-gear box and lots of improvements of the key structure as well as the instruction are all done by Cada. Moreover, the price is what attracted me the most. As you can see, the P1's official price is 450$ ，the Mazda is almost 3 times cheaper then it(on TEMU). Another thing I want to mention is that the quality of the CADA is really good now(for I own this set and have done it yesturday),although not so good as lego. Therefore, this set offers us a fast way to get a lisensed 1:8 scaled supercar with motors and gearbox, and I appriciate this set much:)

@chenhaozou6413 Fair points. If I may introduce some counterpoints: 1. Design - If you watch the video, I absolutely credit the designer many times. CaDA gives full credit, and the designer's logo and signature are on every box. 2. Price - Even if it's more in the US and EU, it's still around 40% less than the LEGO equivalent. 3. Quality of Bricks - That is just absolutely not true. CaDA has been steadily improving their bricks, and the quality of this set was indistinguishable from LEGO
