GUYS! I've been struggling with in-game latency for the past week and have been troubleshooting with lots and lots of obs settings. While most online tips do make a great improvement, the last thing that I did to make the game playable on a setup with obs and Geforce Now was... stupid, but it worked. I just made the preview in OBS as small as possible. To the point where it's less than 100 pixels wide (or just as small as you can get it). I don't know what happens, probably the GPU doesn't have to render and send as much data, or whatever, I don't know and I don't care, as long as I can stream in peace. Hope this may help those of you out there starting with low end pcs. And it's not inconvenient either, you can just build your scene however you want, lock it, and adjust the OBS modules to make the preview small. Incredibly easy tip, and it's made a huge difference to my performance in-game compared to any other setting taken individually. Good luck, and Have fun! :)

FYI For those looking to get shadowplay. Its a great tool but you have to get v3.23 or lower otherwise you will run into shadowplay auto disabling itself due to being told by windows that it detects a website in the background that is DRM protected so shadowplay cant run if the website is running in the background. This can be anywhere from spotify, Netflix, hulu, Prime video etc etc. If youre like me and have 1 of these tabs open specifically spotify while playing games it wont record, it wont take screenshots and wont broadcast until the tab is closed.... and every time you want to update graphics drivers you will need to repeatedly keep uninstalling and reinstalling the specific geforce experience version you want and as well as blocking geforce experience from updating itself via the firewall by denying connections. There really needs to be a competitor to shadowplay cause we are now essentially stuck with a version of geforce experience/shadowplay that wont get anymore features.

I've used GeForce for my recordings since I started my channel and I love it. But you have shown me a couple of things I didn't know, so thank you!!...... GeForce is very easy to use and the playback is fantastic so if you haven't got this already and you have a NVIDIA GPU then it's a must have so use it, it's well worth it. shadow play has one problem: it records video only in Variable frame rate. If you export that video in Adobe premiere - it will have audio desyncs (premiere cant work with VFR)

Coming from someone going from PS4 to PC, that instant replay from GFE is almost exactly like recording a clip using the Share button on the controller. It's quick, press of a button, and that's why I love it. You get the last 5/10/15/30 minutes or whatever saved instantly. Which you can then use to edit later or share as is! You have a moment you want to capture, hit the button, and keep playing. It's so simple. GFE Instant Replay is just like that - super simple and efficient and I absolutely love it!

The feature missing from Nvidia Shadowplay, is that I can't specify custom relay servers as there is no twitch server in the region that I am in, which means higher latency. otherwise I think Shadowplay is amazing

Wow I never knew Nvidia experience had this feature like Nintendo Switch; which allows you to record the last gameplay. This feature is really handy when it comes to the moments like a 40 minutes of Call of Duty gameplay which consists of killing and dying, but there's this killstreak moment of like 2 minutes which is something: "I wish I recorded that!". But this feature can do it without recording the other unnecessary gameplay, also I liked the idea of the recording not slowing the Gpu. Thanks for this video 😇

3:35 Nope. Recording Take ~15% of the GPU Performance (according to the task manager). Check the column GPU, you will see some nVidia Processe take some performance while recording ;) In the future the processes will get bigger and need a constant internet connection (I was wondering about that, as i blocked the nvidia process from the internet, I couldn't record)

Shadowplay not working well for me since the 2020 May/June nVidia (or Windows) update, all of my recordings suffer from stutter. Shadowplay records with variable refresh rate, before that update, my recordings minimum frame rate was 58-59, and the maximum was 60-61, so the videos were close to perfect. Since june, the minumim frame rate dropped down to 40-45, sometimes 15-20, and the maximum is always around 63-64, from stable 60 fps capped games... I waited 4 months now, tried so many things, but nothings worked, so i think i will try OBS instead... Its a shame, because i really liked Shadowplay....

I love the simplicity of GeForce Experience but It's been very troublesome trying to use it. First, when I record footage of games from Xbox App it doesn't recognize the game. Footage always goes to Desktop or Content folder instead of a new created folder with the game's name. Second, Recording randomly stops and I can't find why. My reasonining is he thinks I'm on desktop mode so whenever i press any key while playing he thinks I'm out of the game so he end the video. If i find a way to fix those two things I would be very pleased. Otherwise I think I'll be playing those Xbox Game Pass games on my Xbox and using my HDD over there to save my recordings since on consoles things are much easier.

OBS has much higher resolution and fps capabilities. Each one alone are deal breakers for streaming and recording for me. NGE is better at AI over clocking and optimizing in-game settings.
