The reason you find a car filter in the glove box area is cause most cars have a cabin filter behind the glove box. A lot of people don’t know this and only think they have a filter underneath the hood that needs to be replaced but they also have one in the cabin. It’s just a filter for your ac to keep your air clean btw.

"Is this better than PZ?" Honestly, I'm interested in this game. It literally takes everything PZ does and puts it in an actual 3rd dimension. It works in concept, even though it is... heavily borrowed from PZ. Don't get me wrong, it's awesome this game even exists. It's tough to see development with a two-man team from what I've heard to provide continual updates, though. It would be freaking hilarious if they pull it off without a TIS situation. I'm just not sure these devs can pull off big updates like TIS will.

Honestly, PZ ripped off CDDA pretty hard too. Removed the Fungaloid and the Mi-Go's, and made the game Isometric/Real Time instead of Grid/Turn Based. It's just the natural progression of things. I gave this a shot earlier, and it plays pretty good for a two man project. They've got a long way to go, but the amount of detail they already have/how much stuff you can interact with is really impressive. Looks promising.

The dude that made Night of the Living Dead let the copyright lapse on it a long time ago. It's been in public domain forever.

You are correct that it is in public domain. However, the story is that when they filed the paperwork to copyright the movie they used the working title "Night of the Flesh Eaters", which didn't match all of the other documentation. Thus it just defaulted to public domain! The irony is that it arguably became so hugely popular because it was free for everyone to use. It might not have been so deep in the public zeitgeist if it was flagged every time someone tried to use footage.

Yea, so they screwed up, and I guess they didn't bother to make things right. They blew it I guess, but the popularity of the thing itself made a name for them.. just couldn't make money off it. We live in a society 😔

@@brianfarmer5580 You misunderstand what happened or how copyright worked back in 1968. They made all the relevant money from the movie, back when it got released to cinemas. In fact, they didn't even notice the missing copyright until years later, because its lack didn't have an effect on anything...yet. The big pot they missed out on was the VHS boom that came in the 70s (and the DVD followup). But by that time they were already producing new movies that had their own successes and no missing copyright notice. And, keep in mind, no one in '68 knew that a VHS boom was about to happen in the future. The money they lost out on was money they initially didn't expect to get anyway.

The best melee weapons would be a pairing of a boar spear, a closer range tool like a crowbar or halligan, and a close bladed like a hunting knife with a knuckleduster guard. You want light and hard to smash skulls without getting tired, a larger swinging tool for similar and the boar spear keeps an enemy at range while you stab and cut. The three shoul give you all your melee and a ton of tool usage. Thid assumes zombies don't care much about cuts and slashes.

If they're going for ultra realism, I would assume the reason soda doesn't hold your thirst down for long is because soda doesn't really quench your thirst very well. Last episode when you drank water the thirst stayed down for awhile.

When you click drink in sodas you drink only a little amount, you can see it on how much is in sodas. They are at 12oz so when you click drink you end up on 9oz. Hope it helps

Heh, for some time I've actually been lulling myself to sleep thinking about someday developing an open world 3D zomboid with basebuilding, horde mechanics, loot hauling, sneaking into extremely dangerous territories for certain types of items and resources you need to build & progress - all that good stuff. I ain't got enough time to set out on a passion project like this, but I'm glad to see someone else had a similar idea. Hope it does well.

Leggo, my steggo and glory to Raptoria! Been watching your channel for a bit now, and got heeeeeeavy into Zomboid. These videos got me to download the Vein demo to check out for myself. Always down to support small game-devs, even more so if it's my game style, and free. Looks a tad unfinished, but that's good because there's room to improve and polish, and it looks like they got a good direction heading. Day 1 melee choice: spear/long, sharp stick. You wanna keep that distance. Thanks for showcasing this gem so I'm not completely bewildered on bootup!

The Night of the living Dead is the only zombie movie that gives reasons for the dead coming back from grave or people who were recently deceased was a downed satellite giving off radiation. Because the threat of nuclear annihilation was higher then an infection at the time.

yeah it dosnt happen alot but there are quite a few that give an explanation. most end up being military experiments or resurch into vaccines or one turned out to be a alien virus from a asteroid or there was a couple real old black and white that did mind altering drugs or voodoo but those werent dead reanimated they were the original consept of a zombie which was a person without will that was basically a mindless slave 👍

One thing I'm a big proponent of in entertainment, especially video games, is "show, don't tell." Especially for more complex games such as this game and its inspiration Zomboid. I do not want to see a column of meters and numbers, especially for things that should just be intuitive ("You are in pain. It is about 63% pain." Uh, cut hurt bad, just provide a pulsing red vignette that gets more intense with more pain, we don't know how to quantify it, that's not how it works. Is that blood dripping to the floor mine??? OK must be a deep laceration.). I want to have minimal need for UI with understandable, tasteful exceptions made for things when it can't really be helped. Animation/sound cues if you're hungry or tired. Slight glossiness to your texture if you're wet. If you are hobbling and moving in a more lopsided direction, and the pain vignette kind of pulses with each movement of the problem limb -- you'll intuitively guess OK, I injured my right leg. Some pretty good examples of games who appreciate "show don't tell" are games like Team Fortress 2, Portal, and The Forest.

Went and downloaded this and it seems like an interesting start but game was pretty bad overall. Not much challenge, zombies are really dumb, terrible performance, maps are not very interesting and don't have much in terms of points of interest, controls are clunky and not the most responsive, vehicles need some work too.

I saw your Part 1 and tried it out with a buddy, sadly Multiplayer is beyond broken... "Friends only" server was not visible, had to be made public, when in game my mate was not even able to see my character, our Zombies were desynched, no point to play multiplayer yet. For a single player experience it is not much to do. I'll stick to PZ and wait for B42.... But thanks for your insights anyway, nothing is lost on a free demo.

Really so you can destroy anything build anything repair anything. You can move objects and barricade any building. So if a zombie sees you it comes at you that moment. I watched a guy walk with in twenty yards of a zombie it did nothing.

from what i heard there was 2 guys who made night of the living dead and after the movie they got into a fight and it went to court afterwards one of them retained part of the name "of the living dead" and went on to make the return of the living dead movies and the other guy had "night and the original story line" but eventually let the copyright lapse and becoming public domain leading to the Rob zombies version and what not. for weapons a good pole arm or spear is the way to go gotta get out of that splatter distance thats one thing i always hated about most zombie games and movies they get to close and get coverd in blood i mean you got zombie's blood in your eyes and mouth from stabbing them with a knife or bashing with hammer, crowbar, bat, etc you should turn into a zombie and it kinda ruins the realistic part of it

I don't know, with Project Zomboid I don't really care about the graphics - it's the different perspective that makes the graphics so appealing. With this game, apart from the fact that it still looks very unfinished, I think that's something else again. Such lumpy animations are a real turn-off.

Optimization is dog shit. 45-90 fps with average 55 on i5 13600kf and rtx 3060 12gb 32gb 5600mhz doesnt matter what graphic settings. There is also problem specifically with nvidia gpu running out of memory error than after some times it drops to 19 fps than crash :D
