@@yagamilight64 the problem with hair transplants are one is never enough, you have to keep going back year after year to keep getting it done as although some hair regrows Alot does at first but then stop again so you have to go back, so unless you have tens of thousands of £a /$ every year it's not really a viable option. Lots of celebs who get the hair transplants spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on them over the years, some look better yes but Alot don't really look much better, the hair never grows back thicker it's very wirery, it's about being confident and happy with you! I don't believe throwing money at hair transplants will make anyone any happier to be honest. Just work on yourself get fit and healthy, be confident in your uniqueness there is only one of you make the most of who you really are.

Idk where you are but im in the UK, and British schools can be brutal. i never got picked on but someone mentioned it once or twice. i dont think it was in a nasty way, and i shouldve just owned it... but i didnt. Im in college now and im wearing a hair system, its really helped with my confidence, however theres just a part of me that wants to shave it all off. however, going from a hair system to bald.. i feel would shock people? i mean no one knows that im wearing a hair system, but honestly i just want to be bald lmao. i agree that balding in ur teen years can effect ur mental health greatly, however know that ur not alone. we can all be bald together lol

My son starting losing his hair immediately after he completed a 6 month cycle of Accutane for bad acne at the age of 16. He started Accutane at 15 years old with a full head of hair, After completing the 6 months at 16 years old his hair started to shed drastically. At 18 he started Finasteride. That did help the crown, but has not helped the receding hairline. He will be 21 years old next month and has talked about an FEU hair transplant in a year or so. I disagree that "nobody cares". There are a lot of cruel people who will make fun of someone losing their hair - even if you considered them your friend or girl friend.

@@Fred-ek6en Not too late for you bro. Hear me out I, you can fight androgenic alopecia (male hairloss) First of all you need to identify which kind of hairloss you got. Most guys will have androgenic alopecia (AA), but if you are unsure about it dermatologists are the doctors you should visit. If you are there, you should ask for a full androgenic hormone report. (Testosterone, Free Testosterone, FSH and LH) The doctor can read out of the data if your hormones are the cause of your hair loss. DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) kills your hair follicles by binding onto the androgen receptors in your skin on your head, and makes them thin until they are are permanently dead. So what can you do about it?: 1. You can block or reduce the amount of DHT binding in your skull by using finasteride or dutasterid. Consuming them orally is very easy, but it can decrease your quality of life by decreasing your systemically testosterone. They better variant would be a topical solution which you apply directly onto your skull so the amount of which will work its way into your system decreases heavily. It's just a matter of where you live on easily it is to obtain the topical variant. 2. You can use a research chemical called ru58841. It was only tested by the original founder in 2 phases of a 3 phase study. They had to quit it because they officially had no money to finish it. I just doubt that, because if its cheap and yielded great results, the market for AA - cures would collapse. It does basically the same thing finasteride does, but in an other way. Without reducing your androgenic hormones it blocks the androgen receptors by itself without lowering your own hormone levels. By mistreating dosages you also can gain the same side affects you'd get with fin and duta, because you'd stop more than the needed receptors to achieve the results you would want. 3. You should use a Ketoconazol shampoo. I know that its an anti fungal shampoo, but it does yield some benefits for AA by topically influencing how the dot reacts in your skin. Before rinsing it thoroughly out, it should stay in between 5-10 minutes. Afterwards, you should use conditioner to hydrate your scalp and condition your hair. I suggest it as an instant treatment, because it is cheap and you can test out if you are prone to active ingredients entering past your scalp skin. 4. You should use minoxidil. It was originally invented for treating blood pressure, but a side effect was severe hair growth by increasing the supply of blood for hair follicles. If you have longer hair you should use the liquid variants, and if you have shorter hair you can use the foam. Alcohol based treatments have more potency than oil based, but also dehydrate the skin more. All oil based cost at least double, and are very hard to find, at least where I live. You can use this wherever you want to use it, as long as you stay within the daily dosage limits, keep in mind it can still change your blood pressure because their is always a percentage of product will go beyond skin. What I mean with that is, you are lacking eyebrows - apply it. You are lacking beard - apply it. Even if you want chest hair to feel more manly - apply it. You can literally double the results if you use it in a combination with micro needling. Its important to know that you should invest some money into a derma pen, not a derma roller. The pen goes straight into your skin, while the roller goes in at an angle and comes out in a different one and creating a triangle shaped tear in your skin and cause scarring. Scarring leads to irreparable loss of hair. But always be cautious derma pens can do that aswell, but you have much more control to prevent it. Anecdotal treatments: 1. Oral used castor oil. Be aware that incorrect dosages can lead to the same effects laxatives would give you. You can apply it topically but orally it will work much better in nurturing your hair and give it a thicker and denser appearance. 2. Biotin. Its basically Vitamin B7 which will impact the quality of of your hair and nails. (You can use collagen too, but studies have shown that Biotin is far superior.) 3. Don't use harsh shampoos, because they will dry out your scalp. You need to hydrate it in order for it to function properly. You can buy cheap oils everywhere to put them in your hair as a mask, leave it in for at least 10 minutes and rinse it out. My suggestions: You can either use fin, duta or ru but not a combo because it would just make your life miserable. It either doesn't work in combination or goes way to much systemically which will kill your hormone levels. Its just too much. You definitely should use minox, and it even be better if you combine it with micro needling. You should use the Ketoconazol shampoo around twice a week for just a little extra push. If you buy the cheap ones you definitely need to use conditioner. The expensive ones have active ingredients in it which make your hair hydrated and pleasant to look at. And if you currently can't afford fin/duta/ru or want to slowly get into unknown waters its a good starter. To the anecdotes, you can use them and it will benefit you, but they will never be enough on their own. If you can afford it, it will help you, but if not focus on hydrating your scalp rather than buying vitamins. My routine: This is a lot of information and can be quite overwhelming. If you need a starting point I share my routine with you. Keep in mind that already killed off follicles can't be resurrected. I'm currently in search for ru, but its really not easy to obtain where I live, and we don't have an approved topical fin here too, but nonetheless I achieved great results so far. As with everything in live the dosage is what kills you, so don't rush anything and take everything in moderation. Don't let the fear of missing out guide you onto a path of self destruction. Mo: Minox in the morning and the evening. Castor oil orally. Tu: Minox in the morning and the evening. Castor oil orally. We: Minox in the morning and the evening. Castor oil orally. Th: Minox in the morning and the evening. Castor oil orally. Ketoconazol shampoo and conditioner. Fr: Minox in the morning and the evening. Castor oil orally. Sa: Minox in the morning and the evening. Castor oil orally. Ketoconazol shampoo and conditioner. Su: Minox in the morning let the skin rest a few hours and then micro needling. Castor oil orally. Only do minox Monday morning if your skin can handle it. Mine can handle it right after without too much active ingredients entering my bloodstream. Some need rest up to 48 hours. If you already have bald spots, make sure to wear sunscreen, because the sun will let your skin age like nothing else and accelerate hair loss to light speed. With micro needling don't pass a spot more than 3 times. Also stamp it, don't trace it, because it could rupture your skin in an unpleasant way. While you are at it, never needle dry, you need to have some sort of lubrication. If you can't afford Hyaluronan serum, you can also use oil or non comedogenic moisturizer. While you are at it, do your whole face too, it counteracts already existing scars, promoting new collagen build and lessens wrinkles. It also promotes hair growth in self. Be sure to start with needle heads with many needles at first and build your way slowly to head with little needles. That's all I can think of right now. I thought it was over too, that's why I wanted to share my knowledge with you. If I could help you, make sure to help someone else as well. We all could profit from knowledge so spread it to the ones who need it. This is just what I know and I am not a doctor so I don't take any responsibility for any kind of injuries, typos which I may have not seen and everything else that might occur. Do your own research and find what suits you the most. If you have anything to add or anymore questions feel free to ask. Maybe I have the right answer. Take care and good luck.

I can relate so much with this video that is almost like it was made for me. The first time someone said my hair was receding I was 17 and my hair was a big part of my looks and appearance. I ignored it hoping it would stop naturally but of course that didn't happen. I was on and off shaving my hair and letting it grow from age 19 to age 22 and then I just let it grow again, used a lot of fade in the sides and long on top to try to make it less apparent but it only worked for a small window. I had self esteem issues and lack of confidence because I always was so self conscious and concerned about my hair, but had issues to be open to accept that I had to do something. At age 24, around my 25th birthday a colleague snapped a picture of me from a distance with my head a little bit down and the only thing I could see was the amount of skin in the top of my head. THAT was the moment I knew I had to simply let go. One thing that bothered me, and still does for an extent, is that during all this process where I was on and off with my hair, although people do not actively care how I look, your baldness is kind of the low hanging fruit to make jokes or snarky comments. Sometimes it hurts even though you know it was not the intention. I think this made me more empathetic towards other things regarding appearance I would make fun of in the past, because now I know how that can hurt. Thanks for this video, I really needed this. It is a great definition of the acceptance we all have to accept in our lives (for different things).

@@PHlophe Some people will really start at a very young age and sometimes you just think it will stop or that it is just a phase. It is weird to explain because it is so obvious and I think that this video really does a good job in explaining what goes through your head during the process. Complete strangers or acquaintances that I really don't see for a long time will call me stuff because it is so obvious. I came to the conclusion that my lack of hair is probably the first thing people notice about me, it is like a defining feature of my appearance. Realizing that and knowing how some comments or jokes can be hurtful, I noticed that I should never make fun of peoples features even though it is obvious and easy, because I have no idea what they go through in their minds to deal with that. If you can, always remember this and your friend and do the same. Cheers.

It sucks . I used to have magnificent hair when I was young-thick, wavy, always long, and constantly receiving comments and compliments. It was a big part of my charm. When I started losing my hair at 19, I quickly realized I was going to go bald and needed to do everything possible to stop it. Unfortunately, no product could stop my hair loss. Many times, I cried out of frustration and anger in the shower as I saw how much hair I was losing. It was everywhere, often clogging the drain with clumps. Eventually, after about three years of denial, where I wore caps all the time to hide my receding hairline, I gave up and shaved my head completely. Today, at 28, I shave my head every three days. Looking back, I honestly believe hair is a huge beauty attribute. It gives the face a nice shape and an impression of youth and health. I have an older brother who was lucky enough not to experience hair loss, and people often think he's the younger one. I've also noticed he easily attracts women in their 20s, while I generally appeal to older women, around 28 and up. So, hair significantly impacts the type of women you attract and the symmetry of your face.

I'm 18 and my hair loss has really been eating me up for the last year. I will visit a skin doctor next week, I had blood tests done but in that regard theres nothing wrong with me (and even this doctor was very surprised about how bad my hair is). I reeeeaaaallly hope he'll find some solution, because i consider my hair a big part of me, my personality. I can't describe how soul crushing it is to always have think about my hair. I haven't cried once probably in the last 3 year, but I recently did because of my hair loss. My plan is, if it doesn't get better, to shave it off when i'm done with school and entering uni. But still there are so many things holding me back - will my girlfriend still like me? I mean i'm a personality kinda guy and maybe i'm a trash human being for this, but I wouldn't like how she would look without hair, so in my mind it's her absolute right to think the same way. I honestly don't even know why i'm writing this, it's just that I don't really wanna talk to anyone about how I really feel about this. I mean I showed my dad how it looks (you kinda can't see it bc i have pretty long hair) but he said it's fine and I don't wanna be a bitch about this. And I'm not a "boys aren't allowed to cry" kinda guy and I wasn't raised like this, I just rarely get emotional by stuff. So yeah that's my story i guess. Stay strong 💪

10/10 video. I'll just say tho, you actually had good family and friends. I had family who pressured me and tried to get me to grow it back, particularly my mom. Trying to get me to hold on longer and making it harder to just accept this new self. It did help that I was starting school and meeting completely new people. I could just have my identity as 'the bald guy' to these completely new people and it was very easy to accept. Girls also continued liking me, which was a pleasant surprise. Some people around you will react weirdly, as some of my family did. New people won't give AF.

At the age of 18 I noticed some mild receding of my hair line, at 22 it has receded a bit more, and my untamed hair looks like that of a Roman aristocrat. But I learned to accept it early on, I embrace it, Ive always had a widows peak anyway, but the concept of balding never really bothered me, nor has it been a hindrance of my goals and ambitions.

I started showing signs of balding at 14. Wasn't a great time going through high school. I started shaving it shortly after turning 20. It instantly looked so much better and took away a lot of the anxiety. Most people tell me I look really good bald and I like to think so too. I have mostly come to terms with my baldness and don't let it bother me but there are of course days here and there where I see an old picture of me and miss my hair a bit haha. If you are showing signs of hair loss, do one of the following things immediately. Start using hair growth medicine such as Rogaine, or shave. As Joey mentioned, the earlier you start using treatments, the more effective they are, if you wait too long, you will not be able to save your hair. Shaving is not a terrible option either if you are comfortable with it. The absolute worst thing you can do is sit there with a receding hair line, everyday you look in the mirror scared that it's gotten worse, it's miserable, treat it or shave it.

I'm 21, started balding around 2 years ago, didnt do anything about it because i convinced myself it was best to simply accept it and enjoy my hair while i could, so eventually my hair loss got so bad i got gave up trying to hide it, and i honestly didnt feel much attachment at all to what was left, so i let go of my remaining hair and its been a week since i decided to shave my head completely bald and i feel so much better, granted lots of people were shocked, as it was a very sudden and drastic change and they did not expect it by any means, but thankfully i received mostly positive comments and support from all my close friends and family which was really comforting. hair loss doesnt have to be a traumatic experience guys, you are the same person with or without hair, so learn to love your new self! ❤

All I wanted to say was: Dude! You look so much better than you think you do! You’re actually really attractive! Your strong jawline looks excellent, the chin dimple makes it look even better in some ways. (Do you know how many guys wish they had a jawline like that?) You present yourself well with a calm and friendly demeanor so that people want to listen, but you could also command a room with that bald head if you wanted to. Your head shape works great for baldness, but you actually looked fantastic even when you still had hair and were actively balding! Your build looks very healthy like you clearly take care of yourself. Like, bro, idk what you’re roasting yourself about, but you genuinely look fantastic! And better than anything else, you look like you’d make a fantastic family man! Like, I’m sure a lot of people would easily rate you 8 or more out of 10, easily. And this comment is purely out of honesty. But as more of an afterthought, we men simply don’t encourage each other enough. I’m quite confident that more than a few of your viewers are checking you out. Watch out, some of them might even be on the prowl. 😏

Elton John does it lol, I don't get the stigma, and you can ever win anyway: people don't like baldies and people like like people who wear "rugs". I probably would’ve brushed off going bald so young easier if I didn’t already have a few crappy flaws about myself. But this just feels like another kick at my self esteem by life. Sometimes I feel cursed. I don’t believe going bald or being bald will necessarily make you unattractive but in most cases it’ll make you less attractive compared to a full head of hair. Almost no one is good looking because they’re bald, they’re good looking DESPITE being bald. I noticed my temples receded at 17 & thought it was just my hairline maturing. But over time it just got worse and worse and now I’m basically at a Norwood 3. Rogaine isn’t doing enough to even be worth the money and hassle. Too scared to use fin & too poor to get a transplant. I went from a slightly above average looking guy to a solid 5/10 thanks to MPb. Just another kick from life while I’m already down .

I can relate to all of this so much... Thanks for sharing. It helps ever so slightly to know that one is not alone with this. I think it's important to recognize that this is real, and not just vanity or self awareness. It can be rightfully be mourned, like other losses. That is a process, and one might never fully come to terms with it. I'm glad I have faith in God and that this is not the be all and end all, and that those who trust in Jesus Christ will get restored bodies in the restored earth. "But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself." -Philippians 3:20-21. Much in life is rightfully depressing if death is the only thing waiting at the end. Check out Capturing Christianity KZbin channel for more on why this is not just blind faith :)

When I started losing it around 21, I too was in denial and tried everything I could to save it, minoxidil/Rogain, Finasterid, Biotin pills but nothing ever worked. At 25 now I shave my head every day, it’s a pain in the ass but I just Do it so I look better because of the receding hairline and massive crowning. I have a beard or chin strap and I try and work out and take care of myself, but unfortunately my confidence has dropped so much. I can’t help it I constantly compare myself to other people who have a beautiful set of hair, And are better looking. Unfortunately I’m not in the best spot to where I can have confidence while being bald, even though I know for a fact it doesn’t matters because they’re a bald guys with beautiful girls and have money as well. Even though I get compliments that I am handsome and then they like my shaved head, or I have a nice shaved head, I’ll never get fully over it. I don’t think I’ll be able to afford to have transplant, nor do think my hair is strong enough to hold it. If anything I’m gonna do Scalp micro pigmentation, so at least my hair will look full. There’s of course the sly remark, and always some idiot I was going to make fun of me and telling me I’m bald even though I know it doesn’t matter and Joey’s right, nobody cares. Everyone’s just focused on himself, but it is a weak spot for me it does get under my skin, especially when people make fun of me for it even though deep down nobody really cares. All I can say is in my experience, some people all right with being bald, some aren’t, I’d rather not have this look anymore, and I will do something about it when the time is right. I receiced too but fortunately not so severely yet. Shaving off is understandable and for some it actually looks good but generally hair is much better no matter how hard we try to deny it. Hair has just such a strong symbol with multiple meanings. A shaved head is almost never better than hair unfortunately but yeah you can still life a very very nice life without hair too haha

I’m sorry to hear that. Can’t you get a hair transplant? I’m Latino-Spanish and Native American ancestry-so I’m in a mixed state of worrying and not worrying about balding too much. Spanish men lose hair at one of the highest rates in the world, whereas Native American men are almost entirely immune to balding.

Losing hair before 30 is a catastrophe for a man. What you feel about your self doesn't matter, the way strangers, ESPECIALLY women, perceive you totally fucks your life. I've got the same story but I only realize that few years ago and it all explain why I struggled so much in my 20s

At 23 I started losing my hair. I saved it and never looked back. I came to terms with I was going to be a short, bald guy. Women still threw themselves at me my entire life because of my comfortableness I had with myself. In fact, this is what attracted my wife to me. She is two inches taller than I am, and she loved that I didn't wear any lifters in my shoes to boost me up. I just don't care what anyone thinks, some are tall, some are short and no one is perfect!

i’m 16 years old high schooler and i’m balding, well mi hairline is receding. What can i say my grandfather was bald my dad too and his brothers too so i’m no surprised that i’m going to be bald too. I mean i can accept the fact that i’m getting bald but please i don’t want to be bald at all until i finished studying. My biggest fear is that, knowing that if don’t do nothing i might get bald in the middle of the maths lesson. In a few days i’m going to start my hair routine care and going to show it when i see any changes. Im not that worried as joey because since i was a kid i always had a buzz cut but WITHOUT knowing that i was getting bald. Well that’s it guys i’ll do whatever to keep my hairline included hair transplant if i needed but in case that does not work, y’all know how it will end 🤟🏻😩

I've seen this video before, but today I came back to it. I am 14 years old and my hairline looks like the one you had at 18, but it suits me. My experience as a young teenager is that other people care more about it than me. I've recently shaved my head, It's still about a centimeter on top, and it's my classmates that talk about it, not me. With the gossip-culture in my age group, I can say that yes, other people talk about me, I know that because I hear them talk about litterally anyone else, some have also told me what people say about me, it's often about my hair (I really do not care)

The whole hair loss issue is a completely different story for women. The thought response when someone sees a bald man: “Oh, there’s a guy.” The thought response when someone sees a bald woman: “Oh wow! She’s bald! Why doesn’t she wear a wig? I wonder if she has cancer?” Scarring alopecia sucks, but there’s nothing I can do to change it so I don’t worry about it.

"Male-pattern baldness" comes with a lot less judgment than alopecia areata or alopecia universalis (which I have). Lost friends, lost job opportunities and nearly everyone blames you for "not smiling enough" or "having a bad attitude" when they don't realize the degree to which people will instantaneously judge you and treat you differently/negatively on appearances to which they do not relate. I thought I would relate to this video, but the guy in the video has a common experience to which many can relate, unlike my own experience and the minimal proportion of the population dealing with alopecia areata or alopecia universalis.

But what about finding a partner? as a Gen Z’er, I don’t know a single woman that would like a bald partner, and I don’t know a single bald Gen Z’er that has a girlfriend. If you survey all of your female friends and acquaintances, I’d be surprised if even a single one likes the bald look (at least in my generation, that’s the case, and other Gen Z’ers can confirm). I have long hair rn (trying to pull off that Eren Yaeger look), and I’ve received compliments after compliments since I decided to grow it out, but I’ve been thinning since 2019 or so, it’s not a lot, but enough so that it is noticeable when comparing my hairline to previous years. I’ll be hoping on finasteride when I hit 21 years old (this october), maybe save up some money for a potential hair transplant and treatment on the future. Ain’t no way I’ll be bald before 50, I want to be a model.

I would have to much fear of medication. A hair transplant is something I would consider for my future to if it is a slow balding process like my father has it. I‘m 23 and have corners (luckily they didn’t move in the past 5-6 years). Rest is not thinning luckily and so I hope that once I need a hair transplant I will be in my late 40s or early 50s. But I‘m totally considering it.

It's because the word "bald" conjures up images of an old man, but obviously not all bald men are old. I mean imagine Chris Hemsworth, a hot as hell men, now imagine him with no hair. Is he still hot? There's more to be attractive than just hair, I think all those women would prefer bald Chris Hemsworth over an obese monster with perfect hair lol Just work on fixing what you can fix about yourself, improve your body in other ways and you will gain more confidence and attract more women.

@@OpinionatedChicken59 The fact that a man with no hair has to compensate in other ways proves that having no hair is a negative, and for a lot of young women, there is nothing that will compensate for it. And I've never felt better about myself. I look ten years younger and people still compliment me about it. I never did it for them. I did it for myself. Ps: I had a gf for 4 years back then and still with het today and have two kids. So it wasn't about getting girls.

Young women on the dating market care. They want men with a full head of hair. Are there a few exceptions? Sure, but in general the majority of young women reject men who are bald or balding. Here’s my two cents if it helps anyone: as a homosexual man I really struggled with body-image and self-esteem when I was 15-16 years old. Of course, starting to lose my hair at 17 really didn’t help. As I grew older (and balder) I realised I really had a thing for older or dad-looking bald men. Fucking loved them. And suddenly I could look at myself balding and say “Fuck, I could look as hot as those men when I’m 40” and my entire outlook on balding changed. Now it’s a major and, IMO, really sexy, part of my very personal aesthetic. If I could choose get my hair back, I honestly don’t know if I even would… For me, as for most men who lose their hair, balding seems like a tragedy. Truth is, hair is irrelevant. And to each their own, but people who spend thousands on treatments, throw their money away on something that ultimately makes no difference in life whatsoever, while treatment is dangerous and can go wrong. Avoid that mistake.

I was coming out of acne and my skin was getting nice and clear. I was on top of the world. Then the barber said “you’re starting to get pretty thin on top” and it all came crashing down. Thanks to trial high concentration minoxidil I was able to grow some back and it looked pretty full through to 17. Too pricey and so I had to let it go. In high school never got a bad comment from the girls though they must’ve noticed. One girl said “hey! Bend your head down. Wowwww, it’s starting early for You!” She was intrigued and smiled but I was disgusted with myself and bummed that she saw it. That part of my youth and confidence was gone. I played music and went from dreams of being in a metal band 😂 to dreams of playing jazz. There are more difficult challenges to face in life I know but that is a truly rare pain. I felt 30 at 18. I finally resorted to shaving after years of hair systems. Those systems helped my confidence hugely but they were too much to keep on top of. I’m thinking of fue with a receding hairline look (Norwood 6) cause I’m tired of the clean head look.
