I knew a professional scale trader. He had a weird attitude. He welcomed drawdowns because it would increase his position size and lead to more profit. I tried it for a while but sometimes I had to hold for over a year and the contango was killing me. When I talked to this scale trader again he had switched his strategy to occasionally selling puts to help with the contango.
