P.V. is spot on with the way the fixtures should be organised and planned. The BHA/BHB won't readily admit their approach is wrong. They prefer to hang on to the prestige attached to the positions they have. The answer is get someone like P.V. associated with the planning phases and follow through. Horse racing will be better for it in the long run. Of course there are other important areas that need attention, ie: affordable ownership, but this then becomes attractive again if the fixture lists issue has been addressed.

Regarding the fixtures PV should be in charge of, or at the least have an input in the BHA. But of course he's to intelligent for that job ;)

Great ideas regarding having a proper break and defined seasons. Flat should start with a top class meeting such as the Craven meeting and both flat and jumps should have a clear start and end to their seasons.

Fair point but it's not really top class anymore. Highest grade race is a Group 3 I think.

Isn't It amazing, this punter that Is interviewing all these so called professional punters, he has not asked one of them their view on a future race, eh ? Just had guineas weekend, and you would of thought he'd ask PV, if he had an angle on the race, or how he saw It. Instead, all we get are the wining stories, from the after timers arms

Talkiing so much sense on fixtures etc. You can't rely/listen to anyone connected to a bookie ffs.
