I don' know much of the series but during my childhood, I had always wanted Archie and Betty to be endgame, not like there was a specific one in the comics, but they just seemed like the right choice. And seeing this is actually new to me bc I'm older and it's literally drawings from my childhood coming into reality with actual people playing the parts and I'm actually happy to see it besides the fact that I haven't watched the series and have little to no knowledge of it, except the characters' names ofc coz I grew up reading them over and over. I'd have to say tho, the girl they cast for betty is drop dead gorgeous and it's a bit unusual bc she's supposed to be a girl next door type of woman who is absolutely nuts for archie, while he is nuts for roni, but I get that that narrative is too weird and degrading as it is frowned upon in this generation where people want to see mature women make wise decisions and not fawn over men that don't give them two shts on anything. Guess that's why they made betty's character more reserved (sane) and not to mention, surprisingly prettier than I expected
