I went to a church I never went to before and they played and sang this song. That was the night I gave my heart to Jesus. Every time I drove by that little church I felt pulled to it. I used to sing this for my mom on quite a regular basis. She so adored gospel music . Id take my old Martin and go over and visit her and play. We lived out in the country just around the corner from each other so I would see her daily for hours sometimes . I cannot sing this song all the way through anymore. I battle mental illness every day and night so I understand. I heard a song the other day that I haven't heard in many years. It by Don Williams he was also known as the gentle giant. The song said I don't pray for a lighter load I pray for a stronger back. I can tell you my friend the strongest back that I know is Jesus Christ. Tonight my grandmother lies in her bed draw her last breaths. I am on way home from nearly 300 miles away to say my last good bye. How i love that beautiful little lady. The first of 36 grandchildren, she told me years ago that she wanted me to learn to play this song on the guitar, so i could play it for her at her funeral. But now with great sorrow in my heart and regret in my mind i didn't learn it. So i pray that God will grant me the blessing to sing it acapelow.
