I lost my mother when I was 16, it's been 18 years now.. When I thought I lost the sound of her voice in my memory, whenever I listen to this song it reminds me how she speak and sings.. This song helped me relive the memories and her voice. It still hurts like yesterday, I was so young and carefree. Losing her at very young age hurts even more. Even in my dreams I wish I could date her, could buy her favorite food, clothes, cook for her. If only I could trade everything I have just to listen to her voice and laugh again. Did well in the charts though and, apparently, she was able to buy a £3 million house with the royalties from this song! Of course everybody wants a number 1 single, but this song is still being played 30 years later. Some songs are just timeless and always stay with us...this is one of those songs.

This song is so special as it was mine and my boyfriends song, we were together for 2.5 years and had our ups and downs, he had just left the Army and didn’t have a job to fall back on, so money was tight , but we had many a good day together and our love was solid. Then he started to get jealous of my life and friends and that’s where we ended up ending our relationship, I lost so much weight and grieved for our relationship for a year but he would drive past me and walk past my house. I left the area to start a life somewhere else in Kent, and our lives took a different path for us both. 20 or so many years later I read in the newspaper that he had committed suicide and walked in front of a lorry, my one true love had gone and this was our song. So many tears for a special song and a very special man Dave xxx

Yes I am in Australia in April lockdown but this very young lady has stolen my heart with that beautiful voice.
