thank you for this. I tweeted Bev and asked where she was in the vocal register and she replied... "Mezzo but I can get waaaay low..." I love that. I'm a massive mezzo fan but always thought she was a Soprano but guess not. It's not always about how high one can sing but the tone in which one can do it and Beverley, (like Donna Summer) has a unique sound.
