Great review Mike. I didn't think Beverly Hills Cop 4 was as good as the first two films but I thought it was a good modern day buddy cop action movie. I wish we got to see more scenes with Axel, Billy and Taggart together.

I feel over all the movie was good. So many Easter eggs from the older movies that after a couple watches people will see more. It did feel like fan service but I think people want to see that. I am a fan of all the movies in this series. Eddie was great. The old cast were great I think

I know what you mean about John Ashton's (Taggart) speaking cadence. It sounded to me like he is suffering from COPD. Having to take a breath in the middle of a sentence is a sign.

I'm not sure what you mean by looking bad... The movie looked fine to me.. There were some forced tropes like you said... I have only one issue which may seem weird... Axel was involved with all the crazy chasing and stuff... But, when it came down to the cool shooting or killing, other people mostly did it... It was like the director said, "Eddie, you just be funny, let us deal with shooting the bad guys."

When I was a kid, the thing I would do was get a walkie talkie, tape the button down, put it against the stereo speaker, and take the other walkie talkie outside and have the theme song (which by the way is called “Axel F” 😆) playing.

the directors for the last 2 bad boys films where supposed to direct this movie but they where doing batgirl at the time and they chose batgirl and we know how that turned out so wish we got to see their version but still liked it a lot definitely deserves to be in this franchise

I think director Mark Malloy directed episodes of The Rookie and that's what Axel F is like. It's more of a tv reunion movie than it is a big, summer blockbuster sequel and I am okay with that because, for all it's problems, Axel F is mostly enjoyable fun.

I disagree about the cinematography. Netflix movies always look super glossy to the point where it doesn't even feel like a movie. This looked and felt more like a throwback to 80s and 90s movies in my opinion

It's laughable, I keep seeing reviews saying this movie was tame and safe with it and not enough action. I suggest you rewatch the originals. They're comedy crime dramas with little to no action besides the final scenes

After Coming 2 America and Candy Cane Lane this was good not great but way better than the previous movies i mentioned. Movie dragged a bit and the daughter was annoying but i overall enjoyed it and i liked that he had his real daughter and son in law playing cops in the movie !!!!!!!

I think they are afraid to use numbers on sequels to old franchises because the new generation i guess are less likely to click on it if it says "4" after the title. When it looks like a new movie they'll probably be more likely to click, as dumb as that is. John Rambo should be called Rambo 4 Bad Boys for life should be Bad Boys 3 Scream should have been Scream 5 Halloween 2018 should have been Halloween Returns Etc. Apparently the possible Lethal Weapon 5 will be called "Lethal Finale" if it happens lol
