Vasovagal syncope is the common faint if you will. It's not always due to medical procedures. It's a miscommunication between the brain and heart - instead of your heart rate increasing in response to triggers such as being put upright after a long period lying down (tilt table test is the gold standard where I live to diagnose) it starts to increase and then drops, alongside a drop in blood pressure, leading to a faint in extreme circumstances. Triggers can include change of temperature, going from sitting to standing or other changes of posture, needles, after eating a large meal etc
