Should have shown the scene where Rocky dies 😢that was the reason Brenda got involved with the group. I hated that no one supported her through this, the only real friend she had in the group was Dylan. Even Brandon didn’t support her. Jim and Cindy were always coming down harder on Brenda than Brandon.

We didn't have that many events when I was a kid this was like in the late eighties but there wasn't that much going on and I know this lady that was involved and I went to an animal rights rally. Everybody kept going against the doors and getting arrested and I told my friend let's go sit in front of the doors and she's like are you kidding me we'll get arrested I didn't even think at that time I just wanted to like lock the doors and protest but she's right I didn't want to get arrested. It was NYU and it was animal experiments and we stood out there in the rain and we chanted and although it felt really good to be doing something it really messed me up emotionally afterwards. Then I tried to explain to my friends on the phone and I tried to show pamphlets and tell people and nobody wanted to know. I'm sure it bothers me way more than it bothers them they just didn't want to know 😭😭. My mom told me that point I know you care and you want to help but it's not something that I'm strong enough to handle because I get so emotional over animal rights decades later I'm involved in animal rights all over Facebook and with animal rescues and signing petitions and it's a lot sometimes I just want to shut my pages down because it's so impossibly hard for me but then I feel like I need to do something and feel guilty if I don't but I'm still very weak when it comes to animal rights I feel so emotional over it

Watching these scenes hits differently now, especially knowing what the future holds... 90210 lost its most compelling performer when they decided to part ways with Shannen Doherty. She was truly the heart of the show.

It's really unfair to Brenda it's because she's a girl like hello Brenda is always covering up for Brandon, then the blame is always to Brenda like seriously! That is really unfair to Brenda's side you know I'm in Brenda's side as always you know well at least Brenda have voice to say whatever she feels that. The whole premise of the show was based on the two kids from Minnesota. After they fired Brenda and made Kelly the main character (what Jennie wanted) the show went to hell. Kelly was the antithesis of what the Minnesota twin was but they tried to make Kelly the next Brenda. It failed as they moved forward.

While Valerie was a great character (and Tiffani Thiessen nailed the role), she had a totally different vibe from Brenda. Even though they both came from Minnesota to stay with the Walshes, you just can't replace that twin dynamic and Brenda's original fish-out-of-water story.

@@asafmn1983 I agree with some of what you said. I think Valerie helped save the show starting with season 5. I think it should have ended after Brandon left. Val left right after that. Brenda, Andrea, and the parents had had also left and there was no show without Shannen and Jason. The last two seasons stunk bad!

Without Brandon and Val, it was almost like a different show, and the absence of the Walshes in the finale was a huge letdown. They were the core family, and ending without them made it feel incomplete. It’s tough when shows try to carry on without the main cast that fans have grown attached to - it rarely captures the same magic.
