Hello prim friends! My name is Gabriella Moir and welcome to our channel The Cape on the Corner at Tweedthistle Farms, where we love to explore antique shops and homes that are filled with history in early American antiques and primitives that also go well in farmhouse decor and decorating. We are sharing the building process too as we build our forever home, a Cape Cod style home on our 5+ acres in Ohio where we also have a specialty cut flower farm. Follow along as we share daily life of starting seeds and planting seedlings for the cutting garden, establish new landscaping near our home to try to give it that early look and feel. In the growing season we'll be starting a kitchen herb garden and so much more. Keep watching!

Oh Gabby your home is looking wonderful especially your kitchen, truly beautiful, yes I have definitely been inspired, I have to admit that I have stolen your colour scheme and repainted my antique dresser in the archive colour Pantalon which looks perfect and goes so well with just about everything antique or contemporary. I agree that our homes evolve with time and pieces are being constantly moved around and rearranged, never seeming static which is the beauty of collecting. I still watch all your videos including the Walker Farmhouse and my fascination does not wane despite not being able to attend those amazing shows or find many Prim pieces here in England but yes you are an inspiration and I am truly thankful.

Thank you for sharing this…..we actually saw one of these in an antique shop and after careful inspection we realized they were actually paper in a frame. This is what is sad, because it often times causes prices to drop on the real thing because people are reluctant to buy for fear of something not being real. I am so eager to see more of your beautiful home. In my experience….a house full of antiques is NEVER all done LOL

Good morning! I've been meaning to leave you a comment or message for the last month! Thanks to finding your KZbin channel, I decided to do a road trip to Ohio from Knoxville, TN over my birthday weekend, last Labor Day weekend. I loved this video. Love your home. I just bought a sampler today at a thrift store for 13 dollars, I didn’t mind paying that because i just really liked it, and have been wanting one. I believe it’s from the 1930’s maybe? I took it out of the frame and there was an old photo behind it that’s signed just haven’t figured out the name.

Thank you for the tour of your beautiful home, as I have been watching since you started building it. My husband and I started collecting antiques on our honeymoon in Mass. Our first was a sampler, then some canton plates. It has taken us 40 yrs and we still enjoy the hunt. We always say "you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find prince charming" Which means, you have to look in all sorts of places to find a treasure. I searched several years to find my canton tea pot.

The walls are sherwin williams alabaster. Absolutely love it. We used it throughout the house.

Is there a website or other outlet where the Ohio antique shows are listed? Hubby and I are thinking about a trip in November. Any suggestions for planning a 4 or 5 day antiquing visit to Ohio would be greatly appreciated! Seville, of course would be top of the list!😃 Your home is looking fabulous, and I totally agree that style evolves with love and time (and maybe available funds?). It can’t be rushed. Cabinets were all built by an Amish cabinet maker. He, and my husband and a friend installed them.
