Beware of the Panting Dog - Khutbah by Nouman Ali Khan

A chilling reminder for Muslims to hold on tight to the revelation of Allah occurs in this unparalleled analogy in Surat Al-A’raf. As Nouman Ali Khan explains, Allah warns believers against being only artificially committed to their faith, those who seem to comply on the outside but their soul is completely detached, just like a snake that sheds its skin. In an even harsher parable, Allah likens this person to a panting dog, who is disturbed whether or not he is burdened with a task. This person is insatiable. He will continue being unfulfilled as shaytan will want him to keep consuming and feed his obsessions relentlessly. He will never find peace in prayer or remembrance of Allah, on the contrary he will be bothered by it even more than those who never believed. Unless we make the effort, this can happen to any of us.

U wanna know how bad this applies to me ? I went from doing tasbeeh ...standing most of the night to do ibadah..qiyam leyl....to actually not praying and not satisfied with the world life at all. I scroll down on social media staring at the phone for the whole freaking day and wlh i am really serious ..the whole day. Just one bad after another.... untill i questioned some weird things that are shaky to the emaan. Allahu akbar! When he said " as far as allah is concerned they are no diffrent than disbelivers" i emedierly said the shahadah. i know i am a muslim but just i was scared and i wanted to satisfy my heart that i am a muslim. Yaa allah forgive me. Lesson from me: never get distracted by this world...if u see some sign that u r slipping away from the deen...do istiqfaar or ask towbah (repentance and forgiveness).

Salam I like the way you preach the teachings of Allah through all your videos. I would request you to shed some light on playing with dice in Islam. I grew up playing Monopoly and Ludo (no money involved whatsoever) but I recently read that playing with dice is not permissible in Islam.
