Glorified social workers would actually be way better than the reality that the police are being used as political commissars. See the examples of history to understand what that is the precursor to. I don't think folks are quite getting the seriousness of what's happening.

I thought the hatespeech laws over here in germany are bad, Scotland takes the cake. The Allies sponsored a big old catalogue of things you aren't allowed to say in public after 1945 and our "Western Democracy™" government was very happy to expand that over the decades. Things like; speech that is aimed to delegitemite the state or insulting majesty.

They'll use this law with section 31b as soon as they can. So if there's been a previous similar 'crime' bail will be refused and the charge will be elevated to endictment level. That means at least 4 months on remand before getting a court date. Shady a/f.

Yeah, BSL is British Sign Language. The Scottish do have a version of Sign Language which uses much more finger spelling (I've been told). So Deaf or Hearing, we all have difficulty. I'll report myself to the Hate Monster.
