Darrin blames the leprechaun's appearance on Samantha, when it turns out it was Darrin's fault...just like this episode. The comment about Darrin's family being magical and that's why he was attracted to a witch...that is just an opinion of mine. I mean, it is fiction. So, my theory on the whys and wherefores means squat.

My grandfather had a thing for redheads. Carol Burnett and Lucille Ball and Agnes Moorehead. He used to tell me he liked red heads and was glad there were several of us in the family. My great gran-his mum was an Irish and red-haired green-eyed bull headed lady lol. Im the only red head woth green eyes in oyr family. Honestly, just depends on my mood. Who's to say a person has to choose? I'm not going to. I'm an equal fan of Star Wars and Star Trek, so I can easily be a fan of Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie equally. I'm just grateful my mom bought a few seasons of each, as well as other shows from about the 50s to the 70s. I'm glad I grew up with some classic TV.

As the storyline turns out, she's not an old friend of Darrin's at all. He'd never met her before. She just came to kill him due to an old curse. So, the title of this clip is inaccurate (a pet peeve. Describe it ACCURATELY). The magical suggestion suggested by Samantha do cast a spell "undo-the-deed" (the curse) was fun, but it's not like Darrin had any attachment to Gerry, so Endora could've zapped her into the next Universe (but then, there'd be no episode, would there??) :-)

Wood nymphs were from Greek myth and folklore. I guess they just decided to make them Irish for the show.

Yes, season 3 also has great sound effects not heard in later seasons. I especially like the one they use with Aunt Clara's bumbling magic. I can't describe it but its hysterical! Note the end credits use a creative catchy instrumental not heard in any other season!

all interactions between mythical creatures are all based on a writers own opinion, when it comes to fiction. they probably just couldnt figure out a way for the two characters to have animosity, so they fabricated a reason, albeit a flimsy one.

This show was so charming back then...I remember as a little boy Bewitched was the first TV Show that I saw in Colour cuz my friend and his family were the only ones that had a Colour TV in the neighborhood and I just remember it as being such a cute and loveable show...Elizabeth Montgomery was some nice lookin' woman too and Agnes Morehead was some kind of Ace Actress...Really nice and innocent TV... There's a fan fiction called "Missing Pieces" that covers that (the backstory). It doesn't go over Endora and Maurice's ages, but in the show it's implied they're thousands of years old. Samantha is "only" around 300.
