Dick York bugged the heck out of Liz, to the point that she wanted him fired. Asher knew it. Based on York's comments, in the late 80s, his infatuation with Elizabeth started with their first meeting. He was taken by her beauty and that ended up transferring to the set. Watch the scene at 4'41, where Sam tells Rollo to stop gaping at her. That's what York was doing.

So I deeply understand him. Liz should have understood that too and be compassionate instead. I want to believe she had that great heart.
