It was brilliant how Bewitched was able to promote important social commentary in such a subtle way. What is sad though is in 50 plus years many of us haven't learned a thing about accepting those different from us & have even backslid.

Lovely Liz and a determined Samantha standing up for her people. This is a message, along with others, that BEWITCHED put forth throughout it's entire eight years. This message of bigotry can easily be transposed to the real world. Elizabeth Montgomery spoke up in support of groups that were ostacized or ridiculed. That sounds just like Sam. ❤

This show was a parable. Sam, didn't like how her kind of people, witches were being portrayed, just like in real life, how certain ethnic groups don't like being portrayed in a negative light.
