When my kids were small, I took them to circus soléis of Disney and Dreams was played on a horse show. Now every time that the song plays makes me cry. My kids are now grown and have distanced from me now but the song takes me back to their childhood and realize that they were dream to me and now how much life has changed. They are distant from me because they are now focusing on their lives and I’m left behind. It is part of life I just wish to have them small again when we were all for one and one for all! Rest in peace Dolores! Cranberries had made few songs that identifies my life and this 53 years old female will always cherish this music! PEACE!

When my daughter was about one year old and was in a bad mood, I used to play “Dreams” while dancing with her. The effect of that song on her was like magic. After a few notes she was happy and relaxed. Twenty seven years later, we played Dreams at her wedding (a soft version of the song). Needless to say that we both were in tears dancing and singing that beautiful piece that The Cranberries left us.

This song is a tear jerker. I was born in the early 90s but i had an older sister. As a kid and as an adult this song reminds me of freedom in true love.. like young love where we dive feet first with no reservations or concerns about self. Just two people completely vulnerable in the moment of confessing love. Thank you for sharing that comment and im glad you guys have another band you guys connect with.

those were the times. no video call and all. all we used to do was sitting in the yard and reason that since the same moon above must also be shining over the town of our sweethearts, only wish that it can act like a mirrorr and see each other at the same moment. Such a bargain and roundabout wish we used to have in the boarding schools. No video calls and all. Letters and photos by mail only. But seems like more precious to have sweetheart compares to todays 24/7 accesibility and can even be more less privacy. No more longings and pinings for the moment to meet each other again. Those pinings were the ones that build more love and emotions transcendings distance and conditions. Right now, your post just give me nostalgia. Considering the leap in techno from then to now, let us dare to hope for a time machine or for another bargain wish, even ones that if cannot physically transport back and fro, at least for one that can allow one to be presented without taking actual part. Like only just a part of the scenery but with feeling, ability to absorb all the element of the moment, tangible or aesthetics, all. Ha ha now I'm too taken away. btw, nice comment.

Your comment is literally what I was thinking as I'm sitting here reflecting on my innocence when I first experienced The Cranberries I'm 34 yrs old and was a child growing up in the 90's/grunge era and even at 5 yrs old when this song came out, I could understand what vocal beauty was q and what feelings music can bring on. But after these years, this right here is so relevant and there's no words to describe how grateful I am to be alive and just be who I AM. Cause At the end of the day, I love myself and those who love themselves as well. #Nostalgia #vibes #air #love #live #feel #music

Standing in an Irish tavern on Spring Break '04 when this played on the loudspeakers as the band took a break (and they did amazing renditions of U2; they got the whole bar involved when they sang IN THE NAME OF LOVE..) Caught a glimpse of a girl walking away but looking back at me. When I saw her again, it was just "Hi.." and easy conversation. We were both a couple of people out of place, 30 and 28, too old for the nightclub scene but there anyways... Been married to the love of my life and my best friend for over fifteen years now. Dolores was a rare artist to say the very least. She was and still is to this very day, the only celebrity crush I've ever had. The news of her passing was hard to accept. I've never felt anything at all about the death of a celebrity until Dolores. She was the shining example of the underdog that shined so bright... She made it all look and feel so easy. That's the true mark of greatness... Not just being great, but making it look easy.

A very simple song: 3 easy chords and lyrics I could have written in high school. But oh what a voice and what a very catchy melody. And great musicianship and production!

I came here from the Steve Jobs Documentary. This is the type of song I would probably have heard at a shop, try and absorb as many lyrics as I can and not able to find the song. Grateful to be here. Beautiful song.

Watching KDrama Was It Love... and this song... brings me back to college life of my daughter.. she loves Cranberries and this song. This is always in her playlist of songs during gigs of her band. Now she is a great mother to a 7 year old boy. How time flies.. the song may fade at times but the memory lingers on. ❤❤

I remember being around 16 and listening to this. I wish she'd still around here with her soothing angel's voice.

It makes you wonder what happened to popular music. Where has the artistry gone. I have always been a punk fan (still am because it’s the only good music now) but at least in the 90’s bands had some integrity and vision.

I definitely listened to a lot of Cranberries as a teen. I am going back though some of my favorite songs from when I grew up and binge playing them today. Its good therapy! She was a light gone too soon. You often idolize these public figures and the fact that we all have vices or blind spots makes us human. RIP beauty!
