man the battles in beyblade x is so exciting compared to previous gens. I'm not sure what it is

The idea to intentionally mislaunch to duck out of a scary matchup at the end was grimy, I love it.

@MicroAC loool yeah, it didn't count and we re-did the tyranno and buster matchup, ended up getting an X finish on the buster.

close, 9-60 and 5-60, theyre custom ratchets for aesthetics. I just changed the inside to be a different colour which WBO allows, don't think it's allowed in Japan.

Don't get me wrong, I also consider the intentional double fault cheap, but i'm not hating. Haters might hate, but i think abusing technicality should always be in the back of every competitor's minds. If it gives you an edge, you should take it. As long as it's allowed and everyone gets the same treatment, it's good. WP mate.
@1234beyblade2 ай бұрын
@poohcares yep agreed, those last 2 matches were voided though due to the ruling being unclear. We redid it and my tyranno got the x finish on buster.

@@1234beyblade glad it worked out. That tactic also raised eyebrows for tournaments here(PH) a while back, because some people thought it was underhanded. I also do but it should be part of the game, you lose a point for it so i don't get the tears. To make the story a bit short, the private tournament organizers adjusted the rule to grant the point but still stay on the same matchup until a valid battle happens.

@poohcares ah ok that's interesting. That'd Def be a good solution to stop the abuse of it.

13:55 Nah, that's messed up. I hate when people try to find loopholes around rules to get an edge. Happens in every sport, now Beyblade too? lmao I know it didn't go through but, c'mon lol
@1234beyblade2 ай бұрын
@SoloDeWitt yep. It's a punishment rule for failing to launch in many different ways (early, outside the stadium, bey falling off ur launcher, ect.) more than once. I couldve also just barely launched on shoot but I'd have risked getting KOd while my bey is just barely spinning. Much safer this way to get a bye and take a guaranteed 1 point loss in an unfavorable/rng match up. People in Japan do this too, it's a valid strategy. My goal is to win. I'll use ever bit of knowledge to put the odds of winning in my favor. Doesn't matter if you don't like it, it's part of the rules and it can be used this way (at least it will be in the future for WBO as they're gonna be revising the wording, in official B4 tourneys this is already implemented as a rule) Even if this ends up being not allowed with further clarification of the rule, what's stopping me from just launching my bey super weak on a 90 degree angle into the safe area to lose by spin finish to go to the next beys cuz I don't like the match up. Same thing in my eyes.
@justmarv58252 ай бұрын
It's not the same because one takes a considerable amount of skill and effort to do, and also gives the opponent a chance to counter it (which would also take skill, but at least there's a chance). Losing a match on purpose because the odds are against you isn't a strategy, it's cowardice. Even if it is official, battles are cool, a bey flopping onto the stadium isn't.
@1234beyblade2 ай бұрын
@justmarv5825 Yeah, it's the easy way out. WBO will probably make it only for unintentional faults, which will be subjective from the judge. Anyway, the weak launch is almost impossible to counter with the current meta of people doing rail stalls. If you keep a neutral stance, it's impossible to read that someone will do a really weak bank shot to lose by OS on purpose. Only saying that cuz I always start on a neutral stance so people can't read my launch. It was a good call from Kei to void those 2 matches, in the heat of the moment of the final match it seemed like a genius idea to avoid potential disaster, especially cuz no one's really done that before.
@justmarv58252 ай бұрын
@@1234beyblade I applaud the thinking outside of the box to avoid a tight spot, but it just seems like such a lame way to handle things. Imagine if in baseball pitchers could just throw the ball to the ground to get a new batter, that's not playing the game, it's throwing a fit lol. That being said, it was pretty clear you were throwing the round after your first "early mislaunch", so in the situation where your plan was as 9bvious as it was in the vid, I would aim for the rail to increase my chances of a Pocket/Extreme Finish.
@1234beyblade2 ай бұрын
@justmarv5825 it was obvious because I didn't wait for "shoot", I was just going for false start loss. If you look at the actual matches I do my angle and bey position on shoot from a neutral stance, which you can't really read. I'm capable of doing a launch where my bey is basically 1rpm and just kinda flops over in the safe zone, not much room to counter that especially with "mid air contact" being a rule. This would be way harder to pull off in the hasbro stadium tho lol, that thing is so small that even that small window is probably enough to at least get a hit. Edit: since the pitcher can't just throw balls poorly on purpose, there's actually a rule that allows the batter to recieve a walk because the pitcher team doesn't want them to try and get a hit, which in a way is very similar to what I did. But that's besides the point, just wanted to bring it up, it's called "intentional walk".
