Never played Beyblades in my life, found myself on this side of KZbin while working (just need white noise in the background). This was the best reffed game I've seen so far - actually think I understand the rules to it now!

3 on 3 first to 7 takes too long and got boring, I prefer the official rules to this style.
@banjaxed83342 ай бұрын
we think that it creates a more strategic and interesting game. Ft4 or 5 games feel like they're over before you get to make any decisions. Considering that the longest match in this video is 4 minutes, its still a lot faster than any other games except for like scissors paper rock.

@@banjaxed8334 I think people try to hard to make things more complicated than need be, the beauty of Beyblades isn’t the high level of understanding parts or combos it’s skills and entertainment which a drawn out match takes away from imo. Hopefully official rules for real tournaments stick with 1 on 1 prelims and 3 on 3 top cut first to 4 points. It’s a lot more akin to the anime this way as well which is always a plus.

@@Metalx2024 idk I've always enjoyed board games more than athletics, so I find that the deck building and strategic decision making aspects of the game are a big part of the appeal to me as much as the skill and technique, and that longer matches allow you to experience more of the inherent complexity of beyblade, not force complexity where it wasn't before. Also in terms of entertainment I think longer matches allow you to get more invested in a match as it gives matches more of a story, its always very exciting to claw your way back from a 6-0, and absolutely devastating to be knocked out in 3 battles.

@@banjaxed8334 clawing your way back from a 4-0 is just as satisfying and more entertaining since you aren’t sitting around discovering everything about your opponents beys. I prefer athleticism and skill over combos simply because there’s more human ability involved than just sitting around and basically running sims. Too many players outside of Japan fail to understand how much skill and practicing your ability plays into the match. You see people breaking beys and whining about combos, no offense but based on this footage it seems like people spend their times worried about parts way more than they do skills. I see floppy wrists and poor launch angles riddled in this tournament. The first to 7 doesn’t even matter because each round is exactly the same low skill techniques and launches. It’s evident the bladers here are board game fans relying solely on the mechanics of the game to carry them through which makes players who rely solely on simulations and self testing combos rather than power, control and launch techniques. This all happens when you put an emphasis on the length of rounds/points rather than the skill to reach 4 points-giving weaker players who aren’t skillful more time to try and catch up via combo analysis which rarely matters anyhow seeing the best players are able to end games quickly with skill not relying on combos.

@@Metalx2024 I think analysing your opponent and figuring out how to defeat them is cool and fun. Also if there is a lack of skill in this video it has nothing to do with our tournament format, it has to do with the fact that 3 of them had never competed in a tournament before, and only 5 out of the 21 competitors in the whole tournament had competed before, we're a very new scene, and everyone had a lot of fun. I understand you have a preference for the athletic aspects of the game, but others including myself enjoy the strategic aspects just as much.
