This video is very well done from the beginning to the end (tuning, mic position etc). I use Beyerdynamic mics for drum shells in my studio, I have 4 M201, 1 M88 and 1 old blue stripe TGX50. Looking forward to try the boundary TG D71 and the TG D57 condensers in the future

Sensational demonstration.

I wonder if the TGD70 would work on the rack toms

Hey @kovalfetterer2218, that's definitely possible, it might just "look a bit clunky", in general we recommend the TG 51 for rack tom and TG D70 for floor tom :) Greetings, Patricia

Hey Baliza music, thanks for your message. Actually, not all of our products have this kind of video, but I have passed your request on to our product marketing department. Greetings, Patricia

Have you tried the 201 on hats or overheads?
@beyerdynamic2 жыл бұрын
Hello D.JasonWelchMusic, thank you for your question. So on the hihat the M 201 is super suitable, many use it there too. On the overheads you can also use it, but we would rather recommend a MC 930 for example or a M 90 PRO X if it should be a large diaphragm... That always depends on taste. Really cool is the M 201 e.g. on the snare or on toms, but as always: whatever you like is allowed...

@@beyerdynamic thank you. Im steering away from all condensers. I prefer to use only dynamic and ribbon because I dont like using phantom power. Ive been looking at Heil pr31bw as overheads because they are large diaphragm dynamics. I noticed your m201 was relatively priced. But for hats, your 201 seems to be the winner.
