I think it's just preference... just because someone thinks Janet is a better performer doesn't mean they hate Beyonce or think she's a bad performer. It just means they prefer Janet. All she had to do was walk in a room and she got standing ovation and still does. Her vocal layering started a trend that everyone on the music industry followed. Michelle gets hate because she’s labeled as a “replacement” from the original group. Beyoncé and Kelly are originals. Plus Michelle fell that one time on 106&Park. I think it’s stupid she gets hate because she can sing her face off and in my opinion she always has the best parts on their songs as destiny’s child. I think it just became cool to pick on Michelle but in my opinion she made them better because at that point all of them could sing, where as in the original group only 3/4 could sing and then Farrah who lasted like a week couldn’t sing lol

I’ll be 100% honest… MJ & Janet are excellent performers in their own right, and they honestly set the bar so high that it would take a rare talent to surpass it. For me, Beyoncé has done that, time and time again, because of her consistency. As a stage performer, there isn’t an area where she underperforms. There’s not a performer, past or present, that has a collection of top tier performances, where they are 100% on at ALL times and give you the best in every aspect of performance!

Students can be greater and better than their teacher. And that's the case with Beyoncé and Janet. I grew up with my sister who was a Janet Jackson fanatic. But after seeing lots of Beyoncé performances, she agreed that Beyoncé is an overall better performer. She likes Janet's music better though. Which is understandable. For me, Beyoncé is better, bigger and more artistically inclined than Janet. If we're gonna compare, she's more comparable to Tina Turner and Prince, I like Prince better though. But still, until she dies, Beyoncé will keep being disrespected and not given her rightful due bcoz people in general don't want to see someone who is EXCELLENT and almost on top of everything (except sales) who is Beyoncé, a black woman who has exceeded her peers and teachers.

When people buy tickets to go watch the Superbowl game they know ahead of time who's Headlining so most of them pay for Golden Circle ground floor seats and when it's the half time show they get pulled into the field. It's like buying a VIP tag for a concert. Michael Jackson was great but let's be honest he was not a SINGER neither was Janet Beyonce Sings and Dances LIVE without autotune or lip sync and she stays on beat without sounding out of breath. Janet sold tens of millions of Albums when albums were the thing broke and set records when she had competition like Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Madonna and Mariah Carey. Most of Beyoncé’s sales come from her singles. Janet was also a pioneer for revolutionizing black entertainment to the level of mainstream it is today.
