Mizzjlady I love mother Africa especially when she was brave enough to remember the ancient ancestors in the form of practicing and implementing authentic African Spirituality; my wife practices Yoruba spirituality and I practice another ancient spiritual African expression: Kemetic practices and me and my wife interchange with both African expressions!

Dear Queen, I am 64 years old and a child of Obatala and I've been watching you for many years. I've never commented before, but I want you to know that this track is everything!!! I play it for my Orishas and my ancestors’ shrine daily and even sent the link to my Baba in Ibadan and he absolutely loves it. I hope to be crowned soon; I'm looking forward to becoming a kick *** ancestor when it's time for me to go to Orun. Modupe Iya Beyoncé. As`e, As`e, As`e O!!!

I'll be honest with y'all... there are times that I look at myself in the mirror, I stare directly into the pupils of my dark brown eyes, I analyze my entire face, I look up at my natural hair, then I step back and I analyze my whole body, I take all of me in. Then I start to cry cause I feel so blessed that my soul descended down into the womb of a Black Woman, my mother, I feel so blessed that I was born into this world as a Black Woman. I'm Black and I'm a Woman, that's a blessing on top of a blessing right there! I'm so happy to be Original! I'm so happy I was born with a rich Soul! Thank God indeed!!!

Afro King That’s not true. The reason why Europeans “selected” Africans to be slaves was due to disease immunity. Europeans in the Americas would rather have used the indigenous populations as slave labor, yet due to the newly introduced diseases to the Native American populations, a mass epidemic occurred amongst the populations, killing their slave force. Africans were exposed to these diseases for thousands of years, thus was the ideal slave group for Europeans.
@jacobricard7450
@jacobricard7450 3 жыл бұрын
Afro King It had nothing to do with race (in the beginning, later morphing in racial slavery hundreds of years later) the first example of slavery due to race was most likely enslaved European Christians and Hindu Indians under Muslims. As in that time, you cannot enslave fellow Muslims, thus enslaved mostly Christians in order to convert them. There were numerous times slaves were selected upon race before the Europeans. And we also must not forget Europeans also used a form of slavery called indentured servitude. Upon other Europeans. This was more popular before African slavery, as well as being widely used after African slavery was abolished.

I've read some of the salty comments on here and would like to say this for balance.. I'm a white man and have no problem at all with anything Beyonce says in this song. On the contrary, it's a beautiful, joyful track. When she says 'they' she's not referring to all white people. She's referring to the minority of white people that have surpressed black people for many, many years and the ones who still wish to now. If that doesn't apply to you and you're white... Chill... It's all good. If it does apply to you, you need to take a look at yourself. If we had true equality right now she wouldn't have felt the need to make the song. It's not black versus white... it's everyone with a good heart and soul v racism. (and it's never too late to change) Peace and love ♥ ✌️

There is no such thing as equality. No two people on this world is equal. But we should be treated with respect and fairly. Everyone on this earth has talent. And everyone has strengths and weaknesses. The idea of equality was created to make things unequal. And use as a measuring stick to oppress certain people. With a kind of measuring stick to keeps inequality. Its about GRACE. Everyone of us has sinned but we sin different. Its about being compassion, empathetic, grace, merciful and forgiveness. Side note why do white people or no people of color have to announce they are white in the comments. We cant see you. Maybe see yourself as a person instead of a white person.
@tomdouglas365

@@tayshaunaalectus4782 There's some interesting points you make there. All open to debate. As for me saying I'm white; I obviously don't go around on a day to day basis doing this, everyone can see what each other looks like. I'm stipulating it on this occasion in direct opposition to several bitter comments from white people on this video to show I don't feel that way and to show solidarity with black people. Peace.

@@tomdouglas365 Its something I have noticed a lot. I think its an insecurity. I just notice that white people or peple of different nationalities always have to start off saying im white ..or im asian and i liste nto such and such nationality..it shouldnt be a big deal if you are from another race or culture and listen to another culture. And its scinetifically proving that no two people are exact same. Twins have different finger prints and difference in personalities ..if twins were the EXACT same people wouldnt be able to tell them apart therey are difference in everyone. I just think we should get rid of the idea of being Equal. Becaues thats comparing ourselves to another person. Whe nwe should just be striving to be the best versions of ourselves. Was Stephen Hawkisn equal to Usain Bolt? Was Prince equal to Barbara Streisand. No. We are all different. different isnt about comparison its just different.

@@bethanychatman9531 or maybe it's ok for them to understand that it also doesn't make since to put these to contexts together when they don't mix, this song was definitely not for black panther, she is revealing her own spirituality which are the african gods. The same god the were taught to be devilish to our now christian ways. Black panther was nothing more than an agenda to further separate the divide africans and african americans. Even with the assistance of that one white guy was symbolic. So with all due respect with being a person who's actually done the research.
