At the time it was released I never realized how iconic everything about the video, the lyrics and the conception of this is, now I'm watching it in tears, because she just made every black woman and man so proud of their roots. People can say whatever they want about Beyoncé, but this is representation on its most pure sense and I'm here for it.

@@Madenthewest I may have exaggerate on my compliments for her video but I'm definitely not saying she's the absolute main reason for any pride in being black, I just don't like getting attacked for no reason at all and I hope people understand that I have no intention in change their ideals or vision.

urgent!! I was a trans woman and I was a prostitute and I also married several men and I was not happy. I traveled to many countries in search of happiness, I even sought happiness in drugs and drinking, it was a way I tried to fill the void in my heart. One day I was in my apartment in Rio de Janeiro in Ipanema with a guy, so I sent him away and talked to God to show me if hell was real. So I left and my soul left my body and I saw terrible things, souls falling into despair with a look of anguish and pain. they asked me for help and I saw the devil take the souls of those people. I heard screams, crying and despair. It was horrible. I saw my grandfather who died of a heart attack because he was an alcoholic and my grandfather died drunk. was there to drag him was terrible. I also saw a woman and a man who died here in Brazil in a fire in a nightclub called Kiss. the woman danced on her tortured nails, her gaze desperate. then I returned to earth and called a friend and my mother and told them what I had seen in hell. Today I am sure that hell is real and terrible. I have given my life to Jesus Christ, I read the Christian Bible, I follow the commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ, and I look forward to the return of Jesus Christ because I know that I will live in heaven with Jesus Christ. I cut my hair, removed the silicone and today I live assuming my original identity as a boy. I'm not a trans woman anymore because I know that's a sin and I know that there are sinners in hell who commit sins against God, whoever commits sin pleases the devil and when he dies he goes to hell! Jesus Christ loves you. accept Jesus Christ while you are alive. because if you die without Jesus Christ you will suffer eternally in hell. here is terrible!!!ooiuyewsx

This woman had always been about speaking up and supporting the Black community, she tells our stories and showcases our histories, she also uplifts and contributes to our community by donating her hard earned money and wearing out products, seeing how she’s dedicated her entire life to her career, family and her community gives me chills and makes me tear up. A lot of people consider this song to be anti-white but I'd like to consider it pro black. Some white people like to think blacks showing pride in their race means they are trying to downgrade whites. That is simply not the case. It is just black people being proud of their heritage and culture and where they come from. I do not see what is wrong with that
@z0mggena

As someone who is white and Native, it's really a shame to see how much white people seem to think that pro-this automatically means anti-that. Just look at BLM. I'm pro-BLM, but that certainly doesn't make me anti-police. Or how they seem to think pro-choice also means pro-abortion. It's ridiculous. Brings a whole new meaning to black-and-white.

Jesus Christ loves you. accept Jesus Christ while you are alive. because if you die without Jesus Christ you will suffer eternally in hell. here is terrible!!!bhbcxxy

"Formation" was actually released in 2016 as part of Beyoncé's "Lemonade" album. It's a powerful anthem that celebrates black culture, empowerment, and resilience. The song, with its bold lyrics and striking visuals, sparked conversations about race, feminism, and social justice. Even though it's been a few years since its release, "Formation" remains a cultural touchstone, continuing to inspire and provoke thought.

I dont understand why there's a lot of people hating her for what she's doing. She's not a porn star, she's not a media attention seeker, she doesn't boast her life online about how rich she is, the media does that for her, whether it's true or not. I like the creative ideas that she brings with her music, that's all we should appreciate. It's insane how many white people hate her & some black people think she's overrated. Get a life, damn.

@get0kat
@get0kat 7 жыл бұрын
Both sisters are so different with their work, but both equally talented & beautiful. Everyone's entitled to their opinions yes, but my point is she's not doing anything wrong, she's encouraging younger generations to stand up for themselves black/white through music and her visual creations, she's more famous because of destiny's child & years of experience, Solange went through a lot of shit as everyone knows being a young mother, finally found herself musically during seat at my table, I'm sure Bey is more prouder than Solange is of herself & she is very protective of Bey, behind the fame & fortune their is genuine love. I personally think Beyonce' don't give a F about the fame, given a global platform to voice on for the sake of making the world a better place, even if it means fxcking up a few things, if I was in her shoes, I certainly wouldn't. She represented the southern culture in this video, all in all if I was Messy Mya, I'd probably be annoyed too, but humbled at the fact she doing the black america culture proud by showing the world America or white privileged americans, do not define african americans as the abomination of the earth.

Ffh Ffhns i know but that means that her music is excellent and that is just tea. 4 was leaked a month before its release and it became her lowest-selling album. I would've gone multi-platinium in the US... and ever since she's played herself but managed to have the best selling album by a black female this decade with BEYONCÉ (6.9M in pure sales and 9M SPS) and Lemonade is the best selling album of 2016 so she ISN'T a flop, not to mention Te Formation World Tour grossed 260M from 49 shows. But i mean, if she did the promo right, Lemonade would be at 5/6M by now even tho 2016 has the worst sales climate ever, but it is at 3M by now... and Formation could've turned into a HUGE WW smash hit. She's playing herself.

I’m crying with joy because Beyoncés mother made sure she was successful. Bey does the same with her children, not just her eldest. I’ve learned to not hate off of people who have “daddy and mommy’s MORAL money”, but look at it is a blessing! Other nations live together, three-four generations in a household to do what’s needed. Find what’s “right” for that person. Master it, and go live life for The Most High esteem I personally hope.

i am studying beyoncé for my a level media course, i've always loved her but analysing formation in full detail made me realise even more how incredible she is as a pop icon. there's seriously nobody else doing it like her, there's so much attention to detail and so much to unpick. props to bey, ion know what bell hooks was talking about edit: RIP bell hooks ❤️

same as well! i've used formation and lemonade on my finale's research and defense presentation. i will say, the one thing i've learned about this whole storyline from beyonce is so compelling if you're part of the discussion that tackles the pride of ancestry and the beauty of its heritage. this'll be her magnum opus forever that'll transcend more to many generations to come.
