And I know the stereotype of New Yorkers/Jersey is that people are brash and forward, but no. I’m from California and lived for a year in NYC. People are just about business. They don’t BS. Here in CA, good Lord… people’s talk is cheap and they’ll straight up tell you it’s cheap. "Wanna go to lunch" means nothing in California in 2024. Haven’t seen someone in years? Miss your friend? If you like Beyoncé’s music, then she’s the greatest… I think she’s like, the only performer to actually sing live, always, and while dancing. That alone speaks volumes. Basically as far as her live shows, yes, they’re visually stunning; the dancing, always live vocals… but there’s room at the top for several greats. MJ. Beyoncé. Madonna. As far as pure stage presence and dedication, Tina Turner. But Beyoncé’s music is an acquired taste for some. I don’t think it has "universal appeal", unfortunately. Some of the lyrics aren’t for "everyone". Haha. Same with Madonna! Obvi! 🤣 So that’s the one thing… MJ, Tina have pretty universal lyrics.
