Supposedly, she has intended to bring all genres of music back to black culture, where it all originated. I like the idea of that!

Betty was awesome...I've seen a few documentaries on her. There is one on Amazon, They say I'm different. Netflix had a doc about her as well.

Very interesting video but it makes sense for Beyonce to go in that direction! I hope it’s true because lots of the new generation of black folks don’t know their history whatsoever! Beyonce seems to be following Prince’s blueprint of bringing forward black musical contributions to the American music culture!

Juuuust caught this video yesterday and although I was familiar with Betty and much of the material, the creator still provided a couple of interesting theories to toy around with. ;)

All NATIVE MUSIC in the USA was created by BLACK Americans. Ethereal Spiritual was the Indigenous INDIANS contribution!

Also... I just recalled posting some of information about Ledbetter aka Lead Belly (who also popularized the term "WOKE" in the 30's) here during one of your Cowboy Carter breakdowns - which you later shared. ;) That's what Beyonce does. Takes us down a rabbit hole of musical genre history, their African American foundations and what angles and approaches Bey' may hit in her presentation to the world. ;) I enjoy it.

I love Beyoncé, she's been killing it since I was in Elementary school, I love to watch her live performances but I dont really follow her music. After her half-time show, I listened to Cowboy Carter in its entirety.... The CMAs and all of these racists should be ashamed of themselves. That album was 10/10 COUNTRY and was executed perfectly. They owe Beyoncè an apology. 😒 Edit: The story within Cowboy Carter reminds me of what Kendrick was trying to express in To Pimp a Butterfly.

Beyonce said she has made her mark now she is reminding Amerikkka that Black folks created American music. I don't like country music but Cowboy Carter was great!:You will not forget or I will REMIND the world that black folks MADE America by force and choice!!! Genres are a funny thing; aren't they?

Just like Cowboy Carter, whatever this 1-14-25 drop is, If it IS going to be an album drop, I couldnt give a crap about if others gove it a thumbs down, If I like it, I'm ridin'with it.

Not to cape for Post…while he may have been born in NY, he was raised in Dallas, so there are country ties. BUT the point in the video still stands 👆🏾
