Beyonce has music videos that are burned into our brains forever. Because of the looks she served that we associate with Popstardom. Similar to Britney Spears, Beyonce has looks that are duplicated each year as Halloween costumes. Music videos that were absolutely monumental when they dropped everybody remembers where they were when they first saw them. Taylor doesn’t have those moments on that level. (Somewhat anecdotal) BUT Everybody and their parents/grandparents knows a Beyonce look and song with a visual to match. Because of they are cultural moments that were just too big and global you couldn’t avoid it. My Grandparents know who Taylor swift is, but they couldn’t name a song or recognize a look from a music video. Taylor as a celebrity has a reach and influence is that is worldwide. Beyonce as a celebrity has the same reach and influence but her music and visuals are worldwide on a different level. Both are incredible but all things considered, Beyoncé has this level of excellence with her singing ability, performances and star power that puts her above all others.

Beyonce generated $579,879,268 with just 6 months of touring and just 56 shows. Taylor on the other hand $1,930,000,000 with nearly 2 years of touring and 121 shows and more merchandises. What does this tell you? It tells you that Beyonce is actually the superior one when it comes to selling out stadiums because if she released more shows spread over 2 years with more merch, she’d easily do Taylor numbers. Beyonce wasn’t trying to compete with anyone, that’s why she release the numbers she did and the timeline. If it was her sole goal to compete, she’d be doing Taylor’s numbers. Also note that when you compare Beyonce to the other highest grossing tours of all time, Beyonce’s the only one that generated half a billion in just 6 months of one year, almost every one of them got their large numbers from releasing far more shows than 56 and far more time (years) than Beyonce.
