Actual instruments instead of electronic instruments. That is why 70s music sounds different than today's music. They had actual instrument in the studio with them rather than hit buttons.

She's not lip syncing. I've seen her live and she doesn't lip sync. She has back up singers and her voice on the back up tracks but she's definitely singing when she puts the microphone to her mouth. She's amazing and sounds better live. These KZbin videos don't do her justice.
