"We teach girls to shrink themselves, to make themselves smaller We say to girls: “You can have ambition, but not too much You should aim to be successful, but not too successful Otherwise, you will threaten the man. Because I am female, I am expected to aspire to marriage I am expected to make my life choices always keeping in mind that marriage is most important Now, marriage can be a source of joy and low and mutual support But why do we teach girls to aspire to marriage and we don’t teach boys the same? We raise girls to see each other as competitors Not for jobs or for accomplishments, which I think can be a good thing But for the attention of men *We teach girls that they cannot be sexual beings in the way boys are* *Feminist: a person who believes in the social,* *Political, and economic equality of the sexes"*

Miguel Fardin Which 'we' are you talking about here? You seem to be implying men are teaching this. This does happen in some places, e.g. Africa, Middle East but the way you are saying this applies it directly to western culture. Women in western cultures don't go to school to take needlework and housekeeping like they used to many many years ago, they are given the same education as men and are encouraged to have as much ambition as they please. Instead of making sexism out of nothing look for the places where these problems are really happening.

+K. Jaye You have a point. I never was a huge Beyonce fan but I do have some of my favorites. Saying that, I will say her more recent music, shows and performances, and clothing choices have all had me scratching my head. It seems as if she is beginning to get desperate. Not for the public but her private life is a desperate situation. She is showing all of us what is private and should be kept that way between her and her husband. Lingerie on stage and busting it wide open, grinding all over the floor with her legs cocked open in a leotard is not lady like, wife like and it's not the Beyonce many people grew to appreciate. True we all get older and nothing stays the same BUT her husband, I would think wouldn't want the world seeing what he has, what he gets, hearing how she BLOWS and pops that cherry...tho I do like that song lol .. in my opinion it make you wonder what's happening in her home, in her bed to make her come out wide open like she has. She needs and wants him to want her..does he still?
@angelbunn9 жыл бұрын
I am a lady and a woman and I'm sexy when I need to be and hell, when I want to be. I'm not on stage so I don't live my life out in the public eye like Janet pretending to perform oral or whatever but I have knelt down in front of my man at the grocery store pretending to pick something up and end up rubbing my cheek, my chin, my face over one of my favorite places as I came back up. so trust me...I love that part of myself. Too much however is too much. A phase of over the top sexuality is cool. I hope she continues to morph and grow. That is all.

I really appreciate what I see as the basic premise in this video. They're already married, they have a child, yet she wants to be the kind of girl he likes on a primal level instead of resting on her laurels. I can appreciate the same idea from a husband to his wife. I see people saying she should keep that to herself, but I like it that she's sharing her thoughts with her fans. Some couples are struggling with intimacy and the sharing of their deepest thoughts and Beyoncé is saying it's ok to be weird.

It actually took over 6 people to write this song 😂 which is hysterical. "Partition" is a song recorded by American singer Beyoncé for her self-titled fifth studio album released in 2013. Beyoncé co-wrote and co-produced the song with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Jerome "J-Roc" Harmon, Dwane "Key Wane" Weir, Mike Dean, M.I.A. with extra writing from The-Dream and extra production from Jordy "Boots" Asher. The song was sent to urban contemporary on February 25, 2014 as the second single from Beyoncé by Columbia Records.

She's smokin' sexy and i love this video and the fact that she's exploring her sensuality.I do not find this video offensive at all.It it beautifull.And i think that she's showing herself like that because it's her pleasure to be sexy for her husband.That doesn't make a woman less woman.She is satisfied that she can be the one to please her man and the only one. I don't even listen to this kind of music, but that's just an oppinion:)

***** so what if she isn't the same Beyonce she used to be, she is still no matter Beyonce. People can't take change and are so used to things that its hard for them to realize that someone or something is changing. How do you know her motives, this song may have been for the purpose of enjoyment, pleasure etc but you can't say that her motive was JUST to make money/expand fanbase because that would be jumping to conclusions.

That’s why I don’t get why she doesn’t make her performances public. Her VMA medleys in 2014 and 2016 were work of art, the same with the one from the Grammys 2017 and her Tidal show. And yet you can’t find them here on her channel, it’s a shame. Why put in so much effort just for it to end up on a dead streaming service (Lemonade film on tidal)?

The thing is Beyoncé is sexual because she WANTS to be. SHE puts herself out like that, that's what a big part of feminism is, a woman being able to present herself how she wants and do whatever she wants with her own body.

It's surprises me how many people drop hate on this woman . I've watched her interview about the ''all of a sudden'' CD release and she explained that each music video in this album is connected to one another , it shows every angle of Beyonce's life we (her oldest followers) couldn't understand because she wanted to be a role model first (for the young of age). Now since she has completed her family circle she felt the need to share to the world that EVERY wife and mother has the right to live her life to the fullest . Giving a sensual dance to your husband is completely normal ! Get over yourselfs .

If she said it.... it must be true (Or not ? Most of them have pre-made speech anyway). The reality is that sex sell so lot of people only see her using it to sell more album. Regardless if she do it for that reason or not. I don't hate her. I'm just getting annoyed to see every pop stars undressing everywhere. While we're at it... How about them getting drilled on stage ? It's called having some self-respect and dignity and when you see the number of SIDA on the rise and unprotected sex getting wild on the young.. You wonder what kind of music they listen too. You know.. Everyone poop too. You don't have too show it to the world though. It's called having class and money does not buy it.

I will never forget the shock I felt when Lemonade made me realize how sad this song was. Tbh I really didn’t like this album when it initially dropped. I was like, damn sis is drowning in sexuality, which isn’t inherently a bad thing, it just always felt like a lot for me. Especially when her talent had always done all the talking; why sell sex? Right? But she literally said it, “I just wanna be the girl you like.” I can’t even begin to imagine the heartbreak she felt. And she wrote her way through that. She felt undesirable so her album was dripping in an ultra sexual lusty yearning for love. People can say what they want about Beyoncé, but y’all can’t argue that sis is an artist through and through. I have such respect for her artistry. That girl works.

@odd-jobs-chick2814 жыл бұрын
@@nkindiryan9357 idk to me it just felt more explicit than any of her previous work and I didn’t understand why. It’s not a bad thing, its just no what I expected to hear when listening to Beyoncé. I think Partition, Haunted, and Drunk in love were enough to make me question why so sexual? Yknow? The only songs on the album I initially liked were XO, 7/11, and Blue. And those are nothing like the former 3 songs; that being said the album also felt a bit all over the place for me too. I literally didn’t understand the vibe it was supposed to give off. Now I enjoy it so more, but I digress. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. That’s just what I got from it.
