Beyond Imagination: Discovering the Stunning Village of 4K/Castellane

As soon as you arrive in Castellane, you will be surprised by its rock overlooking the city like a deity protecting the town . Castellane is a village in Haute Provence, located at the crossroads of the Napoleonic and Lavender roads, in the heart of the Verdon Regional Natural Park.
Castellane is the smallest of the sub-prefectures of France in terms of population and its charm and its proximity to the Gorges du Verdon give it a particular interest. An ideal location to discover the gorges and the Lac de Castillon.
With its crown of mountains, Castellane already has its head in the Alps. Formerly protected by fourteen towers, it has a rich heritage. You have to discover the Porte de l'Annonciade, the clock tower and the Saint-Victor church, continue beyond the Sacré-Coeur church to the Roc bridge. Then sit on the terrace, on one of the small squares to enjoy the lively atmosphere of this city full of character. Do you prefer a little peace of mind? Opt for the pentagonal tower and its terraced gardens. Beyond the roofs of the village, the panorama opens onto the entrance to the Gorges du Verdon.
