Beyond Light in 2025 for the First Time - Am I the Only One Left Playing Destiny 2?

Just a quick heads-up about that stasis super you were using: The light attack (the one that sends out the freezing projectiles) is only meant for freezing the enemies. To actually get some use out of the Super, you should be following it up with the heavy attack (the one that raises your staff and releases an AoE shockwave) because that automatically shatters all frozen targets in a huge radius. It's basically just a loop of chaining freeze enemies into using a heavy attack. And while it doesn't deal much damage comparatively to damage-focused supers like a Nova Bomb, it's still much better than the enemy tickling it did for you in this video 😅 Anyway, welcome back! And also, I blame you for my death spiral into the depths of 40k lore. I've spend entirely too much time learning about that universe the last couple of weeks.

I liked beyond light to a certain point. When it first came out, those of us with 3 characters had to GRIND to unlock stasis for all our characters. I think they finally fixed that now but I wouldn't know since all 3 characters have it now. It was something that eventually gets Bungie to think about that part but we didn't get to see it until Final Shape.

“Not that consumed” with warhammer 😂😂😂. Don’t blame you. It’s a deep universe, if also dark and filled with pain. I applaud your desire to dive into multiple things at once. Once you get to Witch Queen, the campaign really feels much more like a campaign instead of a few campaign missions with bounty-like objectives in between.

This was a fun campaign for me back in the day because stasis was new and broken! But also it was cool because (and correct me if I am wrong everyone) this was the first time we got to see the exo stranger since end of vanilla D1 campaign.

Quick rundown on Warlock stasis, this was THE FIRST TIME we had customizeable subclasses with verbage attached; with stasis, there were 3. Slow, Freeze and Shatter. Warlocks at the time of release were INCREDIBLY strong in Freeze/Shatter portions, but had NO way to slow really, until you unlocked Bleak Watchers. As for why you felt weak in the super and you kinda figured it out, light attack freezes enemies for ~7-ish seconds, and then heave SHATTERS all frozen targets in range of it, basically map wide in most scenarios with how big it is and how enemies are fairly dense around your playfield as you're pushing onwards. Stasis was a BREATH of fresh air in a world where you could only choose a preset of 4 effects, and then your grenade, jump and class ability. Like even phoenix dive was locked to one tree of dawnblade. If you ran well you couldn't use normal grenades back in the original tree.

I’m still playing every day and play gambit, strikes and crucible and haven’t noticed any noticeable increase in waiting times. Really enjoyed beyond light but stasis was a bit of a grind to unlock but worth it.

People probably thought you had quit Destiny because a lot of channels tend to concentrate on one game. Seeing as I’m a fan of diverse content and a fan of Destiny, WH40K and Warframe…I believe you’ve made a wise decision 😉. Also, you never know how long a game will survive so keeping your options open is the way forward I reckon. Ps, you asked so you get, Eramis is an ok villain but she is quite important to the ongoing story. Imo Savathun is the best and most interesting character in Destiny, she’s up next in WQ Pps. The stasis super works like this…bumper, trigger, so first the freeze and then the overhead blast. It’s much more effective that way 👋

I enjoyed Beyond Light, there is a lot of hidden lore and places to explore on Europa. The best use I found for the warlock stasis super is to feed the Ager's Scepter. The warlock super is pretty underwhelming compared to the other subclasses.

Basically he sided with Queen Mara, and not majority of the Fallen when there was Awoken/Fallen conflict, and then when Mara was... indisposed, left Prison of Elders, which lead to breakout. "The Loyal".

I stopped playing over the past couple of weeks because I've been away from home for the holidays. The player numbers normally get pretty low between content drops. People often exaggerate the lower numbers by saying the game is dying.

Destiny and halo are easily my favorite games ever. The universe that was created is soo cool in soo many ways. The witch queen dlc is my favorite for destiny. That experience when it was released was insane. Love your videos bro!

There has been a lot of this removed or toned down from the original story, but it’s still fun to play through. I'm not a fan of stasis on Warlock, but it’s awesome on Hunter and pretty good for Titan

Didn’t launch for me for whatever reason unless it has to do with that bungee BS where they launch you into random missions sometimes. Maybe that happened before at some point and I probably just quit out of it Thanks for the kind words!

Oh I guess I misremembered, I was thinking of the cutscene at 17:05 , you got to see it. But yeah, Bungie’s servers are really spotty sometimes and will cut audio or cutscenes short, regrettably. It’s just been so long since I’ve played the campaign I forgot where this cutscene was placed. Glad you got to see it after all.

@@dpatriot4130Since you picked up from talking to variks the fiat mission must have been completed manually since beyond light doesnt auto launch you on login. The auto launch only occurs to the current Expansion (Final Shape) and current episode (Revenant soon to change to heresy)

Witch Queen completion will start your weapon crafting. Hope you like smg's because the Osteo Striga is the BEST! You'll struggle to put it down.

There’s a great deal of interesting lore in Destiny. I wonder if anyone has ever made a video about a Destiny Guardian Vs. a Space Marine. There’s a KZbinr by the name of Byf that has some really interesting and well made videos all about the lore with timelines, etc.

That’s the truth. I any react to the first few cutscenes then play the rest to put it together. It will happen soon 🫡
