Really appreciated this. Gentle pacing with a great mix of recollection, humane insights, and cricket as something that lives on in the blood of those who played the game with deep commitment. To think how much I, a 12 year old Aussie, despised and mocked Brearly's batting during thos Ashes in Australia! Turning over the pebbles indeed!
