James works frequently with many acclaimed soloists, including soprano Lise Davidsen, baritone Benjamin Appl, trombonist Peter Moore, and mezzo-soprano Tara Erraught. Leila and James discuss how James got his start in collaborative piano, the differences between working with singers vs. instrumentalists, and how presenters can make song recitals more accessible for their audiences.

Apart from being a wonderful pianist at his school, St John's College in Johannesburg, James also played organ and clarinet at a very high level. He was an inspiration to his peers. We would love to have him back at St John's College in 2023 when the College celebrates its 125th year.
