wow! My boyfriend and I loved this video! The drive follows the exact route that we take every year from Southern Ontario to Paint Lake/Pisew Falls Provincial Park where we both work as a Wildland Firefighters at the Paint Lake helitac base! We know that guy in the background at the float plane base too haha. What a phenomenal video! In September of 2020 we took the train from Thompson to Churchill and did a trip out there and it was beautiful. We love seeing how much you both enjoyed the north. Northern Manitoba is beautiful, and is not given enough credit!!
@JimBairdAdventurer2 жыл бұрын
That is very cool. I’m glad you enjoyed the video as much as you did. I always like to hear from people who know the area. It really is amazing up there, the wildlife including Polar Bears, we saw Wolverine too. And the amount of water l, the eskers and everything. It’s very cool. The Seal River itself is one of the most spectacular anywhere. Thanks very much for watching.

Hey Jim, long time subscriber. I just enjoy how you include all aspects of your trips, from travel to logistics. Also you are forthright and honest. You're nervous, you say it. Apprehensive, concerned, same. It puts the viewer right into your shoes. Also did a lot of backcountry canoeing but not where you have been!
@JimBairdAdventurer3 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot, ya it feels like something I just gotta do! I try to keep the cameras rolling when things are hard. That’s the hardest time to hit record but you often get the best footage snd real emotion in those times I think you have to be able to show failure in a video if that’s the reality. A lot of people don’t

I've been in them with 4 guys, all our gear and groceries. Literally save a square in the back for a couple guys to sit.....pilot once told me "if it floats, it flys" he was right !
