The variations of the game make a difference. My local casino pays 3:2, and they have tables with different side bets. My favorite is the side bet with push 22 and buster. The push 22 pays 8-1 for a mixed 22, 20-1 for same color and 50-1 for same suit. I have actually hit the 50-1 a number of times. Due to splits I have gotten up to 6 tokens once, and of course the dealer pulled a 5 card 21

Hi Kelly, I talked to you a few months back about this game and a glad you tried it again. I play this game a lot in PA usually pretty successful. Don’t be discouraged you were just getting dealt very bad hands especially in the beginning. You’re usually dealt more pairs and also you never split a pair of 10s or 5s you play the 5s as a double down always! Give it another try in the future. If you a fair amount of luck you can win some money. I would also suggest increasing your bet after a win if luck is on your side. You can quickly make money if you have a 100 $ bet and spilt and double down that’s where the money is made in this game. Good luck!! A hope this information will be helpful to you in the future.

Because there’s a push 22 rule, basic strategy differs from a standard hit s17 blackjack and calls for a more aggressive strategy. The biggest would be a a 12 vs a 4 is a hit like in 17:27 and 13 vs a 2 is a hit also.

This reminded me of the one time I played blackjack at a casino where all cards, including the dealer’s, were face up. The rules then were changed in regard to a push. Every push was a player loss. That’s understandable until both the player and the dealer are dealt a blackjack. There is nothing more a player can do, then the casino takes my money. Time to change tables.

Thank you for making this video. I really like free bet blackjack, and they took it out of the casinos where I live. I like the pot of gold side bet, but one casino had a side bet where if the dealer made 22, it would pay 5:1, 20:1 for cards of the same color, and 50:1 for the same suit.

My nearest casino (Casino Tampere) offers a pretty good version of the game where RTP is close to normal blackjack, 3:2 etc. Only complaint I have is that they use the Euro dealing style. The pitboss explained the optimal strategy to me: "every time casino gives you something for free, take it"

Theoretically speaking if everyone played by the books FreeBet could have a advantage, the problem is inexperienced players would do their free double on a 9 against a A’s which in reality you never would, that “free split/free double” gets in peoples heads at times & makes them do things they shouldn’t

It looks like a blackjack pays 6-5 instead of 3-2... This game may let you double and split for free but in the end the house edge is WAY higher than traditional blackjack... It's not even considered a true "blackjack" game and switch blackjack pays EVEN MONEY on a blackjack!!! Folks im speaking from 17 years experience working in table games management and I'm honestly telling you that these are the types of games that make a LOT of money for the casino... So if you're a serious blackjack player stay FAR away from these variant blackjack games... If you're just in it for the fun with maybe a couple hundred dollar buy in then go for it but if you plan to play BIG money stay as far away from these types of games as possible and stick to traditional blackjack... There are some basic strategy differences on this game too. You should hit 13 vs 2, 12 vs 4, and on free hands you should hit hard 17 vs 7, 8, 9 and ace (not 10) since a push is just as bad as a loss on free hands. Also be less generous on soft double. Only double (with real money) soft A5 vs 6 and A6 and A7 vs 5 and 6. Don’t soft double vs 2, 3, or 4

Oh yeah and the house edge is far higher on blackjack switch... Not only do all hands push if the dealer busts with a 22 but a blackjack pays EVEN MONEY if one comes up on either of your first 2 cards you're dealt... I personally wouldn't play BJ switch if my life depended on it lol but also because I've worked in casinos more specifically in table games... You'll never see a seasoned gambler playing it... It's for the young 21 year old kids who are visiting a casino for the first time in their lives in Vegas and have no idea about odds or house edges lol... Casinos LOVE uninformed players... You played 70 rounds totaling 111 hands.
