@OuroborosSoup4 ай бұрын
It should be (1sc, inc)x4 to leave you with 12 stitches! So 1sc, inc, 1sc, inc etc
@BeyondtheLens534 ай бұрын
Hi. You are not meant to do an increase in the next 7, you are to repeat 1sc, Increase around. So in this case you are only adding 4 extra sts. Because every other st. Gets the increase. I hope this helped.

@BeyondtheLens532 жыл бұрын
I love love love this tutorial. One question though. I'm following your directions for increases of the white flat part and my stitch count is different than yours. When you go from 8 stiches, do two sets of increases and end at 11 stitches, I have 12. And my stitch count stays even while yours goes to odd numbers. I'm not sure what happened there...

So each row is increased.by 2 stitches. 1 extra in the beginning and 1 extra in the end. But it won't make any difference on the finished piece if you have 1 or 2 extra.

No need to be sorry. Too bad you couldn’t make a go of it. It’s a great looking project. But if your only off by one or two stitches, you should continue…it will still look like a shark. You can always make those stitch’s up in another row or two. That’s about all the help I can offer. I absolutely love this pattern and it was coming out very wel until I was making the belly.I couldn't figure out mathematically your stitch count. After 5 rows of 6 stitches you did 2 single stitches for first and last stitches which brings it to 8 stitches. Then you do a row of 8 sc. Next row you increase in the first and last stitch which brings it to 10. Same for next row. At the end of that row you have increased 2 more stitches which brings it to 12 stitches. (48:52) but you say 11 stitches My brain sort of short circuited. Then later on after some more increases, 2 stitch increase each row, you come to a 5 row repeat of 19 stitches each row (52:13). Following you in your video step by step I had 22 stitches. I'm not a beginner so I could figure out and made adjustments when I saw how you attached the belly, but this might be confusing for beginners. Again, I reiterate I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PATTERN, and consider Sharon the Shark one of the best shark patterns I have seen and believe me I checked out many many many patterns and decided yours was the best. So please don't take this as a negative reaction.

But I got a little confused because I don’t understand anything about crochet. Could you write the recipe down, please?? It will be a lot for me easier to translate and my mum will be able to make it. Best wishes!
