I’m a 6’5 guy and the Liberty chair is THE best chair I have ever used. I’m an I.T. developer and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Big people have a hard time finding a office chair that works for them. This is it. Smaller people perhaps not so much. The back support you will not find better support for larger than average people.

Hello, just wanted to know if the chair would be worth it second hand for 40 USD, I just need a chair for school work for about 3-4 hours a day. Thanks!
@btodtv4 жыл бұрын
Depends on if the chair is functional or not. They retail for a lot more new, so $40 is a significant discount -GK

The arm rests are the only negative I’ve found. After about 5 years or so they tear and you will need to replace them

Amazing review as always. What about tall users? I can't find any information about it, I'm 6'2'' and I fear I will hit on the plastic top of the chair. Do you have experience with tall users on this chair?
@danielelewis93032 жыл бұрын
@@MakinaDeMuerte Thanks, I finally bought it a couple of days ago and it's very comfortable even at 6'2. Arm rests don't go up as I want for good support at my height but I don't use them so I just removed them.

@@MakinaDeMuerte Years ago I bought "desk armrests" you clip on the desk and it was game changing for me. No more hitting the desk everytime I move and total freedom of movement since they follow my arms.

Hi thank you for the review. I'm in the UK and can get second hand refurbished Humanscale chairs. I'm 5"1 and often chairs are too deep with not enough lumbar support. Which Humanscale chair is best for 6 hours a day?

Can anyone tell me why some liberty chairs have two poles under the arm rests and some only have one pole? Is that just the upgraded adjustable arm rests?
@jules263 Жыл бұрын
Correct. Double arm poles are only with the adjustable armrests.

Not good for short people, I get it 😂 this guy spent the entirety of the video trashing the chair. Don’t buy the $1000 chair buy our $200/300 chair. Strange business model.

Let the Buyer Beware - Humanscale does NOT honor its five-year warranty! My wife purchased a brand-new and never used Liberty chair, attached with the original Humanscale tags and owner’s manual from a retailer in Maryland who specializes in buying closeouts and passing on the savings to its customers. Unfortunately, after only three and half years of PART-TIME use, the mesh [plastic] backrest lost its firmness and became loose. After conferring with two different customer service agents about the issue, I was informed that there was no simple tightening adjustment and that the cosmetically-perfect, mesh backrest would have to be totally replaced at our expense. That inflexible decision was hastily and erroneously made because they assumed that the chair was “second-hand” and that my wife wasn’t the original owner which was completely false. We have been very loyal Humanscale customers, owning three chairs; two Liberty and one Diffrient World versions. This is no way to treat faithful and devoted Humanscale customers!

Did you buy this from an authorized retailer of Humanscale, as the original purchaser? Or was it purchased from a company that acquired it from the person/company that was the actual original purchaser? Because if it is the second option, this is normal protocol for all furniture manufacturers -GK
@fbianco222 жыл бұрын
@@btodtv It was purchased from Mark Downs Office Furniture, an extremely reputable and reliable retailer.
@btodtv2 жыл бұрын
It sounds like he is not an authorized retailer and bought these at a discount from a business that liquidated them. Regardless if he is good to work with, Humanscale (or any other furniture brand) will not honor a warranty beyond the first purchaser of the products -GK

@@btodtv Regardless, a true quality manufacturer that has full confidence and believes in its products would never resort to the use of such caveats and loop holes.
@btodtv2 жыл бұрын
I think your anger is pointed at the wrong company here, if I am being honest. Humanscale is a very reputable manufacturer and they make good products. We have not had an issue with them honoring warranty claims. The practice of offering a non-transferable warranty is standard on office furniture. Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth all have warranties that do not transfer and they make the best office chairs in the world. Mark Downs sold you a chair that doesn't have a warranty and they knew full well it wouldn't have a warranty because anyone in our industry knows that warranties do not transfer. If they didn't make that clear, then that is where your anger should be aimed, not Humanscale. -RB
