Yep. 12 tribes of Israel, not just one tribe, the Jews. The US and British Commonwealth are Joseph sons. Manasseh and Ephraim. Gen 48, and 49. A company of nations!

What then is the gospel?

Hello - Thanks for your question. Jesus Christ preached the message of the gospel of the kingdom of God (Matthew 4:23; Matthew 9:35; Mark 1:14-15). The Old English word gospel, or"good spell," means "good news." The good news was the centerpiece of His message. He defined His mission with these words: "I must preach the kingdom of God...because for this purpose I have been sent" (Luke 4:43). What did He command His disciples to teach? "He sent them to preach the kingdom of God..." (Luke 9:2-6). What is that message about, and why is it such good news? When Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God (Luke 8:1; Luke 9:11; Luke 12:31; Luke 13:18), He was simply continuing the messages of the Hebrew prophets whose words are recorded in the Old Testament. Centuries earlier God had inspired such faithful men as Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and Zechariah to look beyond the difficulties and destruction of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah to a magnificent future when God would establish His world-ruling kingdom on earth under the reign of the Messiah. What other theme was prominent in Christ preaching? "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel" (Mark 1:15; compare Matthew 9:13). Jesus taught that no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he repents: "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'" (Matthew 7:21-23; compare Matthew 19:16-17; 1 John 2:4). Obeying Jesus Christ is different from simply believing in Him. Submitting to God's will requires a change of heart. It means we come to trust God and willingly repent of sin, which is lawlessness (1 John 3:4), the breaking of God's law. Here is where many sincere people misunderstand not only the gospel but what one must do to enter God's Kingdom and receive His gift of eternal life. Our faith in God and in the reliability of His promises must lead to a life of active obedience. Otherwise our faith is dead and useless (James 2:26). Jesus answers that one! `He came "preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God." Saying "the kingdom of God is at hand." (Mark 1:14-15. Jesus went about all the villages and cities `preaching `the gospel of the kingdom" (Matt. 9:35). UCG offers a study guide "The Gospel of the Kingdom" that thorough explains this from the Bible.
