Additional tip for tapejaras: If you fly backwards towards a wall when you latch onto it rather than flying forward towards it then the tapejara with cling to the wall upside down. This means your camera is pointed downward and it makes it much easier to shoot from that position.

I'll have to give it a go on a flatter surface, every time I try it, it's usually on the side of a cliff, doesn't matter which angle i try to latch I always end up facing the sky XD

Sarco is so under rated. Stupid easy to tame, very mobile, gathers fish meat stupid quick, high damage and life. Decent weight capacity. The key is easy to tame.

A good advantage early on is that you can bring them on land. You don't need a water pen to ensure their safety after you leave them. They are pretty good even at lower levels. Unlike the Bary that is mostly a superior tame but I have to put in a lot more work to make sure they are the best they can be with breeding and imprinting so they can shred through the artifact caves.

And you can equip your weapon from its back, what's rare for a fast and high water tame. I did my early game drop hunting with it on the island. Special the easy underwater cave was a no brainer with it.

Also when riding a Male Megaloceros you are immune to damage from things like bats. My go to mount for most cave runs.

Mine are. 1. Argy, also a portable smithy and great for farming metal with anky since anky has weight reduction w metal. 2. equus and run around collecting narcoberries while crafting narcotics. 3. Doed for stone. 4. Mammoth for wood and weight reduction. 5. Anky for metal. 6. Pelagornis for polymer. 7. Bear for honey and fiber 8. Direwolf for hide and pelt.

Dimorphodons. Almost no one understands their potential. I tamed as many as I could one time on an official pvp server and bred them until I had an army raised for hp, melee, and speed, also leveled and pumped for those stats. Set their follow distance to medium or far and most people wouldn't register them as part of the equation when they see me an go to attack. Doesn't matter how far away they are, they shoot me or damage me in any way, my pack of flying jaws come and speed blitz any threat. No flier can escape and neither can anything on the land. They can literally annihilate any armor or creature in a matter of moments. So fast hardly anything can touch them. You can also add a single micro raptor for the knock ability but it's doesn't make a real difference. I've had people pick me off my argy with a griffin, I punched it one time and they did the rest, I pulled my shoot, watched the guy do the same, whistled target and he died before he hit the ground. I landed and got a bunch of free loot including a crypoded wyvern and other dinos. I learned one piece at a time how to be the most dominant tribe in a server from day one to tek. velonasuar, argy, arthroplura, otter and quetzal are so valuable

Dolphins are faster but the sarco is better in every other way. Also I have had bad luck after getting a beginner, Dolphin parking it closes to the shore as possible to get to my base only to immediately lose it to 3 Megalodons nibbling at it. The Sarco is great because you don't need a pen and you can just park it on land.

The spino on bipedal stance actually has a higher dps the the Rex, smaller turn radius and gets the water buff in some boss stages. Which means more damage than a Rex.

He did say all that in the video btw :P....The thing which makes the Rex so much better minus having better health and base damage is because they attack faster when not ridden and Spinos don't use their stronger attack a lot of the time when unridden...Also only boss arena in the game with water is the Brood and I still think Rexes, Megatherium or Theris are better than Spinos tbh

Rex is much easier to get a good breeding line going! I still think Spino needs abit more punch to contend with the Rex for boss fights at least! @@johnhussey4539 They are quite a pain to find on The Island, best maps for spinos are Val and Gen 2, I once found 4 max lvls on gen 2 in the same day and I was like “I don’t need this many but I guess I’ll take it….” A one of the females had like 8 points higher than the second highest from the other 3 (I don’t remember how many females I got out of 4 but I think it was half and half)

The terror bird needs something, I have no idea what that something is but it needs something. It's not a bad creature by any means, but it's not particularly interesting, it falls into the same pile as dinos like the chalicotherium and the carno where it's really not bad, it's just not as good as other creatures so it doesn't stand out

every shoulder pet has 50% weight reduction once on your shoulder, it will weigh the same when you put something in to their inventory but as soon as it is on your shoulder the weight inside will only count as 50%!

Rex is just a powerhouse, Spino is more versatile if exploring the map, they are amazing for that but I don't think they can compete in the boss fights with the mighty Rex! 10/10 video mate, love it!

In ASE it's dps and attack speed on 2 legs was much higher than Rex's, makin spino a worhy rival to Rex, despite lesser health points, but they did spino dirty by nerfing it's attack speed and increasing rex's in ASA

Sarcos are SO underatted. They swim fast as hell and have good damage and special attacks. It also regens stamins instantly in water. It has a decent weight carry and it's a good starter tame

People think of sarcos as pests most of the time, they are sooooo good for early game; they swim so fast and are pretty good on land.. their speed on land is a bit bad but it's still amazing.

Iguanadons value goes up pretty decently on Aberration. A good starter tame that can outrun pretty much everything in the Green Zone. I try to get raptors to escort it the I can fight or run from just about anything. Of course this changes when I get Ravagers and use ziplines as I progress to more mid game stuff.

Back when I used to play pvp me and friends played on rag we were set up in the red woods we tamed some male deer and got some snipers and raided a base...two men with sniper and two deer whipped a base. One of my best ark memories

I tamed my first carnotaurus. I got it stuck between 2 rocks in the water, and before it dropped the game decided to teleport it from the rocks into flat water, but luckily it was shallow enough where it wasn't drowning. After I tamed it a bunch of raptors spawned, and once I killed them I ran into a high lvl Therizinosaurus, that killed it...

They're so good! I've used them quite a lot in ASE in a few previous videos. But the ones in the video were perfect tame 140-150s, had around 15k-20k health, no levels into damage so ranging from 270% melee up to around 350%...The main reason why they deal decent damage to the Megapithecus is from the reflective damage due to the boss having a strong melee attack :D. I don't even think any of the Kentros were below half health when I checked them after!

I agree, they are great! I have used them for that before and to be honest I only decided not to add them because I commonly see people tame them more than most of these creatures XD. I love the Dimorph though, they are great for the extra damage on your shoulder too! I'd use them a lot for caves if I can't find an Otter to my liking :D

With ASA only having The Island a lot of people are going for either a dimorph or otter, and unless caving I’ll go for the dimorph. On Dododex there’s a tip, dude said he tamed a dimorph and left it on aggressive on his shoulder since their aggro sound is so loud and distinct so it acted as a proxy alarm for him, apparently he was gathering metal and his dimorph went off, just flew away no questions asked. Apparently when he went back there was a giga where he was 🤣

I I as playing dedi and built a 150 strong computer army. It lasted about 30 minutes around blue ob on rag with a server population of 60ish and a lot of pvp at blue call outs. I was leading from the front with a cap shotgun and a couple sets of flak.

The tapejera is similar to a fast argy(having a really good stamina stat and damage), and I use mine for traveling really far distances and scouting

About the compy army, I tried it. I think I had about 40/50 compys and they are actually really good. They destroyed a thery and a spino without any problems. I don't think I even lost a single one. They don't take a lot of damage, and they output about 40 damages each, wich multiplied by 50 is pretty decent. Also, they were around level 90, so you can definitely go higher

Things I love about Carnotaurus. 1. You can find and tame them early game pretty easily. 2. They are somewhat easy to breed, raise and are expendable. 3. Pack some of these with your main cave mount and you’ll be able to clear most caves easily. Even early game! 4. Their bleed helps take out soakers in PVP 5. They cute.

the Spino and Rex will always have their camp's when it comes to what you prefer: the higher raw damage and durability of the T.Rex or the faster speed and attack rating of the Spinosaurus plus both have their weaknesses where the rex is slower and attack's slower, meanwhile the spino has lower damage and is more frail but in terms of dealing with bosses, the rex ends up always being the better choice as there's generally like no water in the arena's for the spino to get it's buff, so the rex just ends up better as the all around choice (except for the Dragon where you'd want the therizinosaurus to combat that scaly fiend)

Personally I'd have chosen the Pelagornis over the Tapejara as underrated creature, the usefulness of Tapejara is very well known. I usually would tame a Pelagornis ove the Pteranodon.

What’s a good melee damage for a Spino? I have a lvl 111 with 300 melee. And 3.1k hp. Not sure if I should pump more into HP or melee going forward.

Hi! Are you playing Single Player? Let's say if you tamed a high level Spino like a wild 150 and it tamed up to a level 220 with anywhere between 300-400 melee....anything around that or above 350 damage is really good! But if that's a level 111 with 300 melee after tame it probably means that single player settings are turned on because that's really good for a mid level like that haha, and it all depends what you're wanting to do with the Spino really, casually exploring? Or maybe fighting a few alpha predators? If you're wanting to use them for boss fights they'll need a lot higher health and melee damage! Hope that all makes sense! :)

one problem with the tribe mate trick on lipro mystic buff. the buff hits the whole tribe if online at the time so the teammate should be offline when you tame and mount it or just die to reset it off themselves

Although the pack buffs were strong, the Meg’s AI was terrible in Survival Evolved, so I just chose to have a small group of Basilosauruses to punch through the underwater caves. I don’t know if there’re any improvements in Survival Ascended because I don’t play it.

They could be improved since I guess, there's a huge overspawn issue in the 'easy' underwater cave in ASA currently...can have over 50 Megs spawning in there at once, it was like that for me and the only way I could get through it and pick up all the loot crates was by having a strong Basi and a pack of 9 Megs all with really good saddles just to push through the cave XD they definitely made it much easier for me!

Yeah they are great! I ran the Scorched Earth caves with them, surprisingly were good, even taking down the Rubble Golems easily! But ofcourse having them all on follow and Wildcard making a broken game a bunch of them got stuck under the mesh! :(

Good video, I feel like the beezlebuffalo should be mentioned here, if you take them into the red woods cave, their tongue attacks harvest chitin easily and even convert some into cementing paste

Haha, and then I realized I always tame them just for the Swamp Cave in the Redwoods so I think everyone else would do the same. I do agree though, I probably should have added the Frog in the end! I do think they are still underrated!

Compys you say? well funny story...... I thought, "I should breed a compy army and roam around with it". so I start breeding them on a server with higher breeding, hatching server. I couldn't log on for a couple days and the valentines event had started. when I logged back on there were so many compies my screen was like a still photo due to lag. As i tried to kill the newly adult unclaimed compys infesting my base now in what i can only guess number in the hundreds, they are insta-killing me!!! Lmao It took hrs and hrs to sort it out!! Compy armies are the herpes of ark!
