And one more thing, it's not impossible to make a mod that does that... it's a fairly simple thing to make a mod that can tell where the bullet will go if fired at any point and how long it will take for it to get there. A mod can also keep track of moving forces around it and take the shots based on current direction and speed of that object... I know this is possible because some games actually use elements of this (Sniper Elite V2, Sniper: Ghost Warrior both tell you the bullet location.)

It does both, once you fire the bullet it will calculate if it hits someone before it actually fires the bullet because the game has a bullet cam that turns on when you hit some from a long range. So if a game can do as part of the game, someone can hack the game to do the same thing. In fact it would be easier for BF3 than Sniper elite because Sniper elite has wind to account for as well while BF3 is just up and down.

For anyone wondering, this guy is either one or both of the Lagariths you can find on the BF3 Battlelog. They play on PS3 and PC, but in his learn to dragshot video, he seemingly hides that he is playing on PC or PS3. There is only once a scenario that he would have the tooltip for reloading to come up in the video, but he is for some reason in hardcore when demonstrating the window shooting (the scene in which he should have the tooltip). Something is going on with this guy... However, it cannot be an aimbot, and it is unlikely to be him doing it on PC. his movements are too fluent to even look human, but not snappy enough to look aimbotty. Plus, aimbots wouldn't work in Battlefield, except for very shot range. Since when could an aimbot software calculate where a person's head in a helicopter would be when he fires, and then have the bullet hit the head all of the time with 100% accuracy. Holy crap, that made absolutely no sense. What I'm trying to say is that an aimbot wouldn't work for projectiles. Hitscan yes, projectiles no.

I think the two games I listed are just similations only but I'm sure that people can also add a part to it so the game will aim where it projects the player to be as well... Basically if you can think of it, it can be done with computers... it just takes a lot of time for some things.

It's good to know that we have an expert CSI film examiner on youtube. I was unaware that it was possible to look at each frame to deduce those findings. Also wouldn't it be necessary for him to aim for the head every time seing as how for a one-shot at long ranges in BF3 your almost always required to get a head shot? Also if he was hacking with an aimbot wouldn't that imply that every single time he shoots he would receive a headshot? More than a few of the shots showcased are not headshots.

I'm pretty sure that Battlefield has it setup that once you fire the bullet, the server takes over from there. The computer doesn't tell the server that it hit someone, the server tells the player that they hit someone... that way you can't hack it like they do on MW2 :3

It's called "Bullet simulation" as oppose to the standard in games where the game doesn't simulate the bullet doing something. It just guesses, which is a bad thing. I don't actually happen to know what battlefield does, I think simulation. If it does making a mod to tell a bullet where to go is fairly simple, if it's the other one then you don't need to do that. Even easier, just tell the game that the bullet hit someone. There you go, doesn't matter if they move or not after that.

It's hilarious people still think these shots are aimbot, because there isn't a single computer program in the world that can calculate in such a short timeframe where to shoot to get some of these headshots. Aimbots can't lead, especially not against a target moving so quickly and so far away in three dimensions. As amazing as it is, only a well-tuned human brain can do that sot of predicting.

wow amazing how ppl argue about prediction, and bullet drop, and computer calculations.... when you hack a program you are breaking the code, so your head has a big coded square, that way you know you got a headshoot, the only calculation the computer has to do is - put that square in the center of the screen, then the hacker just needs to fire ;)

The funny thing is that 90% of the kills you aim lower and just half second before release the shot, your aim go fast up giving you the kill. To me sounds like you aim more or less the area, and you get autoaimed, sometimes even seems your bullet go through the wall, at exactly 1.39 the bullet sound comes out, and you are aiming a wall, and the bullet goes through giving you the kill? I would not call that luck or even skill.

No it would actually be very easy for a computer to make these quick calculations. That being said, I don't think this guy is aimbotting. If he was, then he wouldn't have follow through on the shots where he is moving his sight while firing. It would simply stop at the person's head because there is no reason to make a program that has follow through. A human needs follow through though because stopping and firing at the same time would be too much to do that fast.
