BF3 - Official Javelin Squad #2 - Caspian Border

This is the official working Javelin Squad. Were were the first who started this tactic and many followed.
By demand of some people, here is the full session of our javelin squad destroying all vehicles in Caspian Border. Watch and enjoy! :)

It's a recon tool that tags enemy vehicles so that the javelins travel more quickly towards it and cannot be deflected by flares.

@@DerniereFan this is pretty late, you can be the one who provides the laser guidance via soflam, pretty powerful if positioned so well, and, engineers with javelin

Just one tip for you: If a vehicle is locked on with soflam, than you can lock it on with the javelin trough walls. No need to stay at the edge. ;) But anyway GREAT JOB GUYS!

you can't destroy the tower at all. It happens automatically when one team has 25 tickets left (maybe percentage based?). There is a radio call for artillery and they start bombarding it then it falls.

Best Javelin-Squad tactic: Operation Firestorm - conquest 1x Supporter 3x Engineer with Javelin go to the mountain in front of the US-base (with a tank!) -> supporter drops ammo on the tank, gets into the tank and marks opponent vehicles -> engineers step on the backside of the tank and use a formation (it'll look so bad ass trust me, 3 engineers kneeing down on the back of the tank and shooting some rockets in the air isjust EPIC) => fuck 'em right in da pussy

I see what you mean but we always saw the choppers coming and could drive away from the tv's, also they were always instant focused by the soflam why they needed to hide fast. When they come to near we simply shot them with the tank, otherwise you need good air-support of your team.

It;s called a "SOFLAM" and it's one of the first recon unlocks. You deploy it, and it laser designates all vehicles/ equipment.

They are camping but its not the douchebag camping people do when sitting in corners, its a actually good way of camping as they are clearing the skies for the ground infantry to advance. Its very hard to do anything on the ground when you keep getting blasted with rockets and bullets. This is a great way to help and I totally agree with you about the definition of camping.

The song isn't the BF3 theme but it is played in BF3, mainly on the loading screens when joining a match.

Because simething most to lock chopters or jets, because Javelin is a land weapon. To lock you can use the soflan(sniper equipament) or locking from the third place in a tank.

also allows the javelin to target air vehicles, and the stinger to target ground, when the targets are locked by the soflam.

One thing missing! You should be able to lock on to say... A tree and fire. Locational lock. It would REALLY help.

No, but if the JAVELIN has the SOFLAM lock, it can lock on faster and it can shoot at targets even if they're not visible; this means you can attack air vehicles with this method.

They don't need to PTFO, that's what the other 20 or so people on their team are for. By using javelins and eliminating all enemy air vehicles and tanks, they are helping out their team and making it easier for them to take the objective. Also they had like half the other team kept in their base trying to kill them, so their teammates had less enemies to deal with around the flags.

Depending on the size of the server, one of you could create a squad and make it friends only or something like that so you can slowly get your friends to switch to that team and join the squad if you aren't already on the same team

Its called a soflam, it basically lets you lock on too vehicles using the javelin.

Because ArmA 3 is in Beta, so in theory, it's not 'released.' But you can still buy it on steam. As for the DayZ part, you're right, it's a mod.

They are referring to a proper squad organization that commits to whole games of sticking together in a big group with javelins and holding back the entire team in spots like in the video. Not simply using the jav with laser, that's what everyone is supposed to use them for ^_^

Instead of a sniper, these guys have Javelins. That's pretty much the only difference.

Javelins launch laser guided rockets, so you need a SOFLAM to paint the air vehicle, whether it be a Chopper or a Jet.
