When they first released the mod, it was literally just BF3 Hardcore mode with extra recoil and slower movement speed. They only have themselves to blame for killing the hype.

Which features? This is like BF3 hardcore with less features than original.

dice's fault for not letting modders get hold of it sooner. I would expect this would have killed the competition for squad. Heck, dice could have even charged a small fee.

No way it would kill competition. We already had a popular reality mod people weren’t willing to move over. I remember people talking about the idea of a BF3 or 4 reality mod and it was all hostile.

I have a feeling that if you could play multiplayer mods without buying the actual game, via pirated version then the game would have a lot of playerbase. But the multiplayer is only limited to those who bought the game through Steam or Origin.

they need to add a co op mode like in PR if they want this to survive . co-op is much more fast paced and dont need lots of player to have an enjoyable experience . its whats keeping project reality alive .

Is there players density on the servers? Or is the game dead now? I'm sad that i didn't know about this mood earlier. It can kill Squad and BF2PR with battlefield 3 engine and physics...

Still active, especially on the weekend events and the UKF clan plays every evening 18:00 GMT on the UKF servers in Venice Unleashed. RM, VU and UKF-gaming have discord accounts.

I would say it is worth it if you like the hardcore/milsim esque feel to games, it is a slow paced game and you need patience. The mod only really has players at weekends and even then it isn't full. BUT i would still say it is worth giving a go!

hi, do u still find enough players online for Battlefield 3? Would u recommend playing it again or is it unplayable due to cheaters etc?

This is the reality mod, standard multiplayer still has plenty of players and servers

@@ClassicPCgames-Shauneyboy 99% of servers have unknown bots in them and you can barely find one decently populated rush server and maybe 2 conquest servers, what are you on about "plenty of players", steam stats show that aprx 200 players at most load into a server daily and maybe add couple hundred from ea app. Then remove those couple hundred players because most of them load into a server that has 3 ppl in it even though it shows that its almost full in the server browser and then they maybe try another server and promptly fuck off. It has been this way for years, if you want to have a decent couple games of rush you need to try and play in specific hours to get barely one full server for few hours at most

They need to make swimming really difficult with all that kit, or even damaging. And decrease the stamina overall. If they some how implement carrying Casualties, that'll be awesome.
