EDIT: I'm not sure if it'a my high fever or my regular every day stupidity, but disregard the comments about this being the same as a PM30. I think this may be the same as the G0704 based on the gearbox and MT3 spindle. I'm really excited for this video series ! I recently purchase one of these mills (PM30MV) I think it's exactly the same, and I am doing a CNC conversion as well. I'm a KZbin creator form Canada who makes mostly Jet Ski build and ride videos. You should change the title of your video series to include the name "precision matthews" and or "PM30" as this is what these mills are usually sold as in North America. There are a few companies that offer conversion kits for them here, so it is a pretty popular conversion. I have been sick in bed for a few days and by chance came across your first 3D printer enclosure, to keep the heat in... I noticed your mill in the background of that video, and while looking for part 2 of the 3D printer video, came across this series. I have not even plugged in my mill yet. I have most of the electronics, servo motors and I irdered a lead screw kit... Quite costly. I'm very excited about my build and that's why my comment is so long. I apologize. Take care.

Hi man, I wanted to use the affiliate links you gave to buy the parts like HBM BF30 ballscrews and other parts but I dont seem to find the parts Like for example what are the sizes for X Y and Z axis ballscrews, diameter and lengths? Maybe you can share the links and we can use the affiliate links. Thanks for the great videos, I also want to buy and convert a BF30 now.

Maybe a industrial vacuum (dust or chip collector) solves your chip problem. Cutting tool stay in one position hence you can direct/fix your vacuum to cutting section. It can be useful to extract dust/chip which may cause cutting quality problem too.

That works very well for wood and is what I was using on my old CNC, for metal however it isn't ideal, as the suction would have to be extremely strong to work at all, due to the weight and velocity of the chips.
