Great vid. Agree with most of it. Was surprised you barely mentioned Holy Priests. It has so much it can do especially in raids-- Holy Words (including the big CD Sanctify), Hymn, Symbol of Hope, Guardian Spirit, Halo, and the ever bouncing Prayer of Mending. Fun toolkit. Anyway, I have been raiding on MW, and it's been a lot of fun. However, I think I'm going to main priest for 8.1. I really want to master Disc.

Marc Sims same but my main was resto druid and moved to resto shaman. It was way much fun healing class with mix tools to provide to raid.

@@Sultan-44 i 100% agree with you on the shaman's toolkit. that was the draw for me to go back to the class as my main. I do miss a lot of the old totems the shamans had but I still love the playstyle.

Playing resto shaman as well, but it just feels so shallow in m+ compared to raids. It's by far my favourite healer in raids. In dungeons I prefer druid. So hard for me to decide on which one I want to play^^

My favorite healer has always been Resto Shaman, I just wish they would stop throwing all our eggs into AOE healing when 5 man dungeons are just as important if not more so than raiding when it comes to gearing.

Idk I dont find holy pally boring in raids with nothing to do. If you're spec'd for crusaders might and judge of light you really don't have any downtime. You're always needing to crusader strike or judge while things are on CD to help reduce cooldowns and keep judge of light up.

Good points about Resto shaman. I personally enjoy it the most but there definitely need to be some changes made for PvE.

disc priest may not have much in terms of top-off ability, but if you use pain supp, barrier, and rapture correctly, the tank can pull much bigger than with other healers, and live longer than channling a soothing mist into it.

I began playing WoW during Legion NH, starting with an RSham, be cause that was the toolkit one of my friend explained to me and it looked super fun ( over the top that they were missing an Rsham in their guild so why not teach to a friend how to play the game since he always wanted to play wow but never liked rpgs / mmos ). I instantly fell in love with their kit. Then in the early days in BFA, I played an HPal since it looked super fun and had great solo healings for dungeons, somehow what i was lacking off with my Shaman. I still love my Pal but holy shit i'm so disapointed with all the nerfs Pal encountered during the transition to BFA ( even tho' it was well deserved ). I stopped playing the game and now hesitate to make a comeback on my original character since it was with it that I had the funniest moment on this game. I'm just sad they retired AG..

I am playing disc and its a lot of fun. Schism is cool but I also find shadow cov with twist good. It covers our weaknesses pretty well during some affixes. I am hoping to go resto shaman in raids later on. It was supposed to be my main but it felt poop in dungeons.

As a main holy paladin, yes i do get bored sometimes in raid, in m+ i really feel the struggle when you don't crit, at times it can be hard to top the party if you have a bad luck beacon of virtue, i wish they maybe bring back something like the old eternal flame (don't know how they could balance without holy power) and i really miss the old mastery but i get they kinda removed a lot of "free healing" that absorb used to do.

I don't know if it's surprising too many people that MW are OP. ;) I think the Vivify and Mastery interactions of monk give it a really interesting depth of play many people are unaware of, but Essence Font and Renewing Mist make the playstyle way too passive for my sensibilities, and it's too easy to do good numbers with terrible play.

I think you are underestimating the changes they are making to resto shaman. The buffs to chain heal and high tide are gonna do wonders to alleviate their main weakness, which is burst healing in five man's. With the new high tide, shaman's are gonna have access to an aoe burst healing window every 40 thousand mana spent, which could happen every 15 to 30 seconds, depending on the shaman's mana usage. Couple that with the ~30% buff to chain heal, and you'll have a lot of burst windows in which you can top people off. Overall, very good buffs for five man's

I think their single target is weak. My heal just seems weak compared to say my priest's heal. And surge is scary to use. Earth shield alleviates that problem on the tank but I feel like I'm going to have to chain heal only for the dps in 5 mans. Or risk losing manage to spamming surge. Hopefully the chain heal buff is enough to compensate for what seems to be a lackluster single heal.

Do you think it will be strong enough in dungeons to take over ascendance though?

@@kraakelol yeah it seems that it will be stronger than ascendance. You can think of the new high tide as a beacon of virtue for shamans, because it will be up every 40k mana spent which will br very frequent in 5 man's. During that period the extra 20 percent healing and no drop off will be clutch, it'll be like casting a stronger healing surge on 4 party members, twice; every 15-30 seconds.

I’m finding with my holy Paladin that using light of the martyr and bestowing faith on myself inbetween holy shock/infusion of light procs feels really good to play. Not enough people talk about using light of the martyr

It is honestly my top 2 heal if not my top in most fights, especially when you have your bubble up its o.p. Insta cast and it heals as much as holy light. Really underrated imo

It's very sad that you still have no resto sham yet) I spent a lot of time in order to define what healer prerefable for me from playstyle perspective. And seems to me that r.shams looks really fun. Yes, that class have some issues with HPS numbers, but we cant ignore the fact that he have great gamage, a lots of utility (even for 5members party: root totems, 3 healers cd, magic purge, cast interrupt) all this helps party a lot))) To give value to the party you have to play like a pianist =) That my favorite class)

The HPS issue is pretty overcommunicated imo. I got 89, 88 and 84 logs in my first HC clear (all 99 logs for ilvl) at 352 item level. Now, at 370 , I always til healing. Sure, disc priests playing well or resto druids with an organized healer group to plan CDs or holy priests on fights like mythrax is pretty unbeatable. But I really don't think they need the HPS buff people talk about. Also, I'm not playing downpour/wellspring. Just play around with talents. A lot of viable options. But I really hate 5mans as rsham.. They need something more in their kit. Earth Shield baseline would help. Scaling healing tide would help. But they need something more for 5 mans.. When I finish my weekly shit on main and go to play my alt(s). I always love rsham in raids, and don't really like druid. Then when I do m+ it's the other way around completely.

@@kraakelol , the 89 log parse ex. doestnot say anything about how you rank with other healers. When you got logs on warcraftlogs its based upon the spec you play.

@@sts3118 I realize that.. But when I can get 90 logs at 350-360 ilvl, resto shamans on avarage are probably not playing to their maximum potential. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
