Early Sunday morning, BFD B-Shift was dispatched to the 500 block of Lee Road 381 for a reported residential structure fire. The caller was a next door neighbor reporting the house to be on fire. This would be the 2nd working structure fire of the night for B-Shifts crew.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a double wide mobile home with smoke showing from the alpha side. Firefighters deployed an attack line, and forced entry through the front door on the alpha side. Once crews gained access to the interior, firefighters encountered high heat and zero visibility conditions. Firefighters located heavy fire in the kitchen area of the residence, and were able to quickly bring the fire under control. During fire attack operations, firefighters also split crews to preform a primary search of the residence for any occupants. There were no victims located during the search, and it was confirmed that no one was home at the time of the fire. The fire was contained to the kitchen area of the home, and the cause was determined to be an electrical malfunction. No injuries were reported on the scene.
Beulah Fire Department responded with four apparatus, six personnel, and were on scene for two hours before returning to service.
